I don't think fighting Monte Barrette provides the seasoning he needs...

you dont just throw a superfight btwn. the #1 Heavyweight and the world and the Undispituted Cruiserweight champ in the world together with only 2months of promotion.....

it was a dumb idea, i'd say the fight have to atleast be in feb.

If it is true that Wlad said he needs more time then i presume he meant that he has been aiming his traing and sparring towards fighting Povetkin so because Haye is a different size and has a different style to Povetkin then Wlad needs more time to prepare for a Haye fight.

Some people will claim this as Wlad ducking Haye but in reality its just being smart. Boxing isn't a fight in the pub were you just fight anyone with out knowing their strenths and weaknesses. You pick an opponent to fight, study tapes/dvd's on them to disect them and come up with a suitable game plan to beat them.

He shouldnt, he should keep on fighting some quality fighters at heavyweight and build his way up to Wlad so it can be a big showdown.

I really hope to god haye beats the klitchskos,(Im a brit to) but taking either one yet is ****ing lunacy. He needs a bigger heavyweight AFTER barrett before a shot at the K's- he's not even 30 yet right? for ****s sake david your potentials enormous but try walkin before you run into guys who are 6 foot 8 (Im guessin) and fight leaning off their back foot

Im sure Wlad's pride and competitivness would make him fight Haye right now but it would be smarter to give yourself a full training camp geared towards fighting Haye first.

Looks like Haye likes to talk **** about facing Wlad, but when it comes time to step in the ring, he acts a little more rationally - because he knows his GLASS JAW is gonna get SHATTERED!

    Maybe, this is logic.

But man, Haye's smack talk has come back to haunt him big time in the last weeks.

Now, we know as a fact that he he has never had any serious intentions to fight the top guys immediately. His fans must feel cheated,
