Maybe, but in respect to a fight with Adamek, he really isn't that hard of a puncher. He wasn't even a one punch KO artist at LHW, nevermind cruiser. I don't think he's got a punch that would unduely worry Maccarinelli anymore than Braithwaite did. I thought Cunningham and Adamek were better, the fight kinda disapointed me in its skill, it was low level. It's obvious Alexeev is going to be a star now.
I agree. I thought Steve was gonna win a comfortable Decision in this one. Far from it though. I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch though because that was a helleva fight.
You see the real light now! Haye was scared of his most dangerous CW opponents that he run away to HW and start fighting journeyman over there.
Wow, the boxing oracle has spoken. And this deep analysis is based on what, one fight - right? Out of curiosity, have you seen more than one of David Haye's fights? If you had, then perhaps you'd realize he's not exactly invincible... I bet my house on it, that once Haye looses you'll be all over him like a fly over ****, regurgitating these same garbage 'arguments'. It'll be something like: 'Don't get me started on Haye. He lost the fight to XXX, that is about all you need to know. A fraud, and not the smartest one, either. Another London guy who is determined to fight when he should box. I was hyped to see this guy and this? Yikes.' Twat.
This is exactly how I felt as well. I enjoyed the fight, but was disappointed in the skill/qualities (power, chin, etc) level of each fighter.
You are far too harsh on both Adamek and Cunningham. They both are good and decent fighters. They are just no oustanding cruisers who can dominate the entire cruiser weight division. You are certainly right in saying that Haye would defeat both the Pole and the American, but that doesnt necessarily mean that they cant fight and are totally overrated frauds.
Haye fans are always talking about his offensive skills. I keep referring to Herbie Hide. Great offensive skills, just bound for trouble when he meets somebody that either: - doesnt fold after getting hit - hits back - has a plan - has better stamina - has even better offensive skills - gets on his nerves Lets wait a while before we proclaim Haye the Messias. The water he has walked over untill now, was either frozen or 2 inches deep.
Fair enough. Sometimes when two good fighters meet they make each other look like less than what they actually, individually, are. I was disappointed last night, but that doesn't mean SC or TA are nothing fighters.
Agreed! It was an awsome fight last night! A great fight for the cruiserweight division and people just want to dig up crap. Enjoy your win Adamek/fans but Steve put on a display of boxing also. He just got caught and think there was nerves and ring rust mixed in too. It's boxing and it happens.
