OK, Vitali fought 5 fights in 20 months (Oct '08 - May '10), winning all five by a big margin (1 KO, 3 TKO, 1 UD), not losing more than a single round in every fight. After a 1,400 day retirement at the age of 37. Gaining a HW belt and defending it four times.

    Very good. :think

But time seems to catch up to him. Both Sosnowski and Johnson landed some flush hits, and both were nowhere of the skill level of the Hayemaker. And Haye hits harder, is faster, and has more ring smarts than The Dragon and The Kingpin combined. :yep

Come on David Haye, now is your chance! Get into the ring and show this aging robot your speed and skill! You are the one who called out for the Klitschkos, Vitali is there for the taking!

He will NOT be too big, NOT be too smart, NOT be too strong, NOT be too tough, NOT be too experienced, NOT be too well prepared for you. He will definitely NOT take any fight with you seriously, so you will get the chance to crush the soft chin of Vitali! :hi:

David, get out and unify two belts NOW! Before VK retires or is defeated by a lesser fighter! Quickly, sign a contract with him NOW! :bbb The whole boxing fandom of the world is waiting for this fight to happen, and your chances to win were never better than now! :hi:

It would be the best time to go after him. Vitaly is still viewed as the best and this could make Hayes career if he knocks him out, setting up the biggest fight in ages with brother Wlad. Make it happen boys and make it quick!

Haye didn't look particularly good against Valuev, that fight was very close. Vitali is better than Valuev in every way and still has a massive size advantage over Haye. I thought Vitali looked in complete control for the entire fight yesterday. Maybe Haye can give him a good fight, but I doubt he will win.

Furthermore, you say Vitaly has a soft chin. As far as I know, he has never even been down.

:deal It won't be too easy, I expect them to last at least 6 rounds, Vitali maybe 8

Funny how the Haye overrating never stops. Yes, the guy has a lot of athletic talent and can punch some. He is far from being a ring smart fights, as you claim. He was in competitive fights with much smaller, much less talented fighters like Fragomeni or Mormeck, fighters that even the current version of Vitali would completely shut out. Haye has a sloppy style, can fight brilliant one moment and stupid and careless the next. Ruiz landed good shots on him, Vitali would very easily do the same. Vitali's style is still a tough one for a 6'3 fighter like Haye to figure out, he still as good reflexes for a very big man. Haye has fast hands but doesn't move around the ring with great speed.

vitali should be the next mature cherry for haye
i really see Haye outpointing that old man who will by very ineffective in that fight since its a bad style matchup if haye can improve his stamina a bit he can win 7 out of the first 10 by stick and move and run for the other two..
its just bc the haye nuthuggers on here are so annoying its hard to admit

It appears more likely now than it did a couple days ago that haye could beat vitali. I still don't think he will but i kinda want him to. I don't really like haye, but if he could be vitali we could actually have a fight to determine who his the heavyweight champ. People would pay attention to the heavyweight division for the first time in what seems like forever. Whoever wins haye-vitali is a good fight. Maybe it can happen in the fall

I deliberately left that off. We all know it, but I did not want to ridicule DH... that guy has skill, power and speed, and a loud mouth to boot, but no balls. Which is a pity.

Haye's capable of beating this version on Vitali but he needs to work on his stamina, even if that means dropping a few lbs.
