Yes, there clearly is. Especially since he beat shot, just about to retire Ruiz and *barely* beat Valuev, if at all.
:good Yea Valuev did make it to the top somehow, but he also stayed there somewhat artificially like you say with the Chag fight.. also IMO Holyfield should have gotten the nod as well. Ironically he gets jobbed against Haye... karma. Id still pick Arreola to beat him, not knock him out, but definently outwork him to a UD.
I love how Haye has a 'paper belt' yet WALDO has the IBF, WBO and IBO and has the cheek to call himself 'unified' :rofl:rofl:rofl
Wlad actually properly holds titles, Haye got his by beating a guy (maybe) who wasn't the proper title holder and who in fact lost it to the proper title holder (Chagaev).
how do you figure? wlad kicked chagaevs ass and then they made the title vacant...the belt should be wlads
it doesn't matter if he's 'unified' or not - the brothers have been hands down the best heavies in boxing since lennox retired so anyone who doesn't beat them but holds a 'belt' holds a paper one
You can make that claim too, regardless the point is that Haye should have fought Chagaev for that belt (and he would not beat him) and he isn't the rightful holder now.
The top 10 ATG British warriour could beat both of the punk-ass Klits simultaneously with one hand tied behind his back. Wlad doesn't stand a chance at all, he's gonna get murdered.
Chagaev was the WBA champion and Vlad stopped him. WBA took the title away and gave it to Valouev who lost to Chagaev. Vlad is the WBA champion, not Haye.
