Can't help but feel like it is. Haye clearly did not look the same against Wlad, and I don't think it was entirely because of Wlad's superiority. He was much slower on his feet, couldn't get off at all. Also stumbling a lot. Ever try to shadow box with a broken toe? Its not easy. Can't help but feel that's a different fight without it.
I don't know about that, but its definitely a different fight. You got to give it to the guy though, he didn't make excuses. Surprised he didn't push harder for a rematch.
Haye is an explosive fighter who leaps into his punches so the toe would have effected him. However, if you choose to not pull out of a fight then dont bllame the injury when you lose.
Wlad proved he was the superior athlete. Faster, stronger, more intelligent, technically superior. Haye thought he was going in with a slow plodding heavyweight and he was shown up.
I finished playing soccer with a broken big toe on my kicking foot and then walked home without even knowing it. This happened when I was in elementary school. ..
It cant of helped, chose a really bad time to mention it after doing nothing of what he talked of doing quite graphically for months and was ridiculed for it but the toe looked sore and had to be a hindrance if only mentally more than physically. But from what i saw he looked like every other Vlad opponent whose game plan against Vlad and his style was not panning out how they thought it would. Sporadic attacks too few and far between to win rounds or do much damage to Vlad. Sure he has the power to stop Vlad but the less you attack the less chance your guna knock them out.
