I know. When Fury plants his feet he can really wack. There was a reason Klitschko never through more caution to the wind. Look at the state he left Chisora in. Look at Steve Cunningham, nearly took his head off. People don't like to admit what a talent he is purely as they dont like him. If he beats Wilder as I expect he becomes an all time great, not just in these shores, is that already but worldwide.
For me i accept people that don't like fury . I accept that it's possibly a personality thing. I accept that it could be a racial /anti traveller thing. I accept that one may presume that he doesn't have this fabled sledge hammer /warhead power . But when someone actually dismisses his boxing ability /fight reading brain/adaptation and sheer unbridled fighting stock dna then i genuinely stop listening . Fury is very very good. He moves well . He punches hard (when needed) and if allowed to sit on his shots he's going to take you out . Wilder has boxed virtually doorman material for 95% of his career. He is awkward i'l give him that and he has knocked people out. But i genuinely believe he'll get broken down and destroyed . Remember everyone saying how David haye would destroy fury¿ well haye knew the truth And the rest speaks for itself. Tyson fury was is and will be the dominant force in hw boxing should he choose to remain motivated .
It's all based on one fight it's frankly ridiculous the man lost to McDermott why is that fight never spoke of ? I'll tell you why cos Fury fans are casuals who have seen very few of his fights.
Who put teeth in your backside? It was 9 years ago, and he stopped him in rematch. Going back 9 years in a boxers career to try and rubbish the fighter they are today is pretty desperate.
Fury v McDermott 1 was the biggest robbery ever in any boxing ring but it is pointless bringing it up now. That along with the Wlad win is ancient history. The only questions now are how good is Fury at his best along with will he ever get back there. The Wilder fight will answer both conclusively.
I for one am a far cry from a so called casual . Fury grossly underestimated big John and arguably lost that fight. He has now matured and accepted /decided and more importantly has the confidence to choose and develop the correct style for him. I don't remember this thread mentioning anything about whether or not his zero was questionable?
Fury to then and fury to now are like night and day. You can even say Fury post Cunningham is a different fighter to pre Cunningham. It's like comparing the Wlad that dominated a division to version that lost against Brewster. Boxers can evolve and change you know.
What about the likes of when he fought Chisora the second time round, he toyed with him and left him in a right state. Were as Dillian Whyte was going life and death with him. Plus you don't beat Ring Magazine Champions who are reigning for nearly 10 years the way Fury did without being a special fighter.
I'd say he was looking good after the Abell fight when he started to take things more seriously, before that he could be sloppy and loose concentration. That was probably the drink and the drugs. His performances against Hammer and Chisora where upper level stuff and Klitschko almost perfection. In my opinion he is the most naturally gifted heavyweight of his generation.
