I'm anxious to hear who he has lined up then. If his big announcement that disproves the **** people have talked about him is Harrison then it's quite likely that he has AIDS.

Why all surprised if it is Audley? Remember its the same hayemaker team that told us his full-time heavyweight debut (ie not bonin) would be a top contender.... turned out to be Monte Barrett.

 

100% agree. They can talk for a week or so but then I want to see fights signed. Once the fight is signed then I hope they talk until they are blue in the face.

As mentioned above, he's blown it.

If he fights Harrison next he'll be a laughing stock, end of story.

The only fight that matters is Wlad - Haye probably knows that he'd be belted into next week so is running for cover :deal

 

Im not naive enough to think that it makes sense in terms of his career and finances (yes these guys deserve to get optimum pay days when fighting the best) to fight Wlad now. I would even buy into Harrison/certainly Adamek/Tua/Valuev 2 (1 was a borefest but id still pay to see if haye can KO him) hell if Toney upsets Couture chuck him on the list. Not the popular opinion but guys its a business and we gotta take the rough with the smooth and hell we've been patient waiting for fights since Mrs Caveman twatted her hubby for checking out a chimpanzee.

BUT what I dont like as a fan is being lied to. First it was a top 10 heavy we got Barrett. Then it was calling out Klitschkos and we got Valuev. We were told that Audley Harrison wasnt on haye and booths radar and now legitamte contenders/money making fights/Klitschkos found someone else the Audley talk comes up. Not on, if youre gonna say you are the man to bring a spark to the otherwise division then fight the best. If youre gonna get experience fighting lesser fighters for paydays or perhaps past their peak big name vets then good luck to you, at least the boxing loyalists will apreciate your honesty and will always wait for the big fight if thats your intention. But when you make big statements like fighting the best and dont back it up, you lose the core support that helped get you there in the 1st place.

Put simply, you fight Vitali or Wlad as you said and get sparked you'd have the respect of the fans that went to the little bethnal green shows at the beginning and will continue to support you. Coz, as buncey says "trust me" the second you get sparked by ANYONE these fans you picked up when they were watching some bent chatshow host interviewing you will be gone.

Hayes trying to make some money off the title before he cash's out. The problem here is Haye simply doesnt fight often enough. If he wants to talk smack and take fans for a ride back it up and get in the ring and simply fight. Dont call out the Klits and then back peddle. Dont fight once a year and expect your fans to support you.

 

in the sun newspaper today steven howard mentioned about haye vs audley and he said how much of a joke the fight is and the last words he said was 'no wonder nobody takes boxing serious anymore'.
