If you really look at his resume, there is not that much substance there compared to most other champion. Not just at heavyweight, but at any weight. He beat pretty much the worst versions of champions that were only decent to begin with. And he struggled with pretty much all of them except Ruiz. The other guys he has fought with decent records like Fragomeni (21-0), Bonin (37-1) and Enzo (28-1) all had built there records on seriously bad opposition. Most of the guys they had fought prior to Haye had either losing records or .500 records....So, maybe Audley doesnt have to be that great to beat Haye. Maybe being slightly better than decent may be enough. The more I think about it, it is not hard to imagine Haye struggling with Harrison at all.

Audley has a chance because he has never turned up as a pro, to scared to get hit. If he wants it enough to turn up it could be interesting. On the down side he always taked good and then did nothing.

Compeditionwise it is a mismatch. Champs often lose to poor fighters they struggle to get motivated against. Lewis, Ali, Holmes all had scares or losses to poor fighters. It happens. Can a 39 old suddenly get the reflexs of a 20 year old no. Would Audley have been three times the fighter he has been if he had heart, yes.

It is possible Audley might surprise us, however I think Haye has to be sloppy as well. I think the embarressment factor has Haye training properly for this. There are signs he might have overtrained as they are cutting his work and he looked on the ball two weeks ago.

Haye might look great but could have burnt all his power. It is straw for Audley to grasp.

Maybe he has not fought the greatest of opposition, but how anyone can give audley Harrison any chance is beyond me this is the man who has been KO'd by Danny Williams and beaten my Martin Rogan a part time taxi driver and as far as boxing skills go none, Audley is a joke and deserves no world title shot he should be over the moon to even have the fight and the payday I hope after this we don't see him again.

David Haye still has relatively few fights.
Not many guys have achieved what he has in so few fights. Just a thought.

I expect him to get Harrison out of there in 3.

Sure audley has a chance with one big left.
still pretty slim of a chance though. Odds have it haye by knockout before 8 rounds. we know audley can't take a good shot either, espescially not haye's shot.

Audley has the tools and the size to beat anyone at heavyweight. He just doesn't have the courage or IQ.

He has a longer reach than Valuev and a huge left hand. If he had some courage to go with his physical attributes and more skill, he could have been a dominant fighter.

He has the traits, just not everything else.

So yes he is nothing, but I wouldn't call him a bum.
