David Hayes Resume Is Pretty Weak...Maybe Audley Has A Chance?

Haye's best win at cruiserweight was against Jean Marc Mormeck - the legitimate cruiserweight champion at the time and the same guy that unified the division a few years prior. Haye's wins over Valuev and Ruiz are absolutely nothing to sneer at as both men have been in the WBA title picture for a long time. The WBA is still the belt with the longest lineage. WBC, IBF and of course the WBO all came after.

 

If Audley is a bum then is Sosnowski, ****ing hate that word as well, probably the most disrespectful insult in all of boxing

 

That means nothing, it's who you beat, not what belt you win, that counts.

 

His record is good when you put it in the context of number of fights. He won the Euro CW strap very early on after losing to a tough former world champ in his 11th fight. Then he beat the lineal, ring, WBC and WBA champ in his 20th fight then unified immediately after that getting the WBO belt.

HW record not that impressive but he is a world champ and he has just beating a former world champ and still all with in 25 fights. Not bad.

what in hayes record suggests to you that audley has "a better chance than most would think". does looking at haye's record allow you to compare the two fighters styles, or determine the tactics either fighter may employ in this matchup?

 

I want Haye to win, because Harrison doesn't deserve to be a world champion.

 

We should not come on this site and disrespect these fighters, call them bums and coat them, when alot of people dont relise the politics that go on in boxing which stops alot of fights going on with talks on big money fights go nose diving down and then us fans making are own minds up and making a load bull**** up and flying it out on forums.
David Haye's resume is weak EVEN thoe he unified the cruiserweight divison then stepped up to heavy and won a world title and talks with the top heavyweights in the division went tits up because of ridiculous demands from both camps and lets be honest whats it all about with these rematch clauses the K bro demands, no heavyweight will ever get them belts till thet decide to vacate them.
Can you blame haye taking a money spinner fight with Harrison?

 

Harrison will be lucky if he is concious after 6 rounds, this is a clear mismatch. Harrison is not a complete bum as he has some tools but in all honesty he's not even a fringe contender.

 

I will say one thing in Audleys favour..He HAS gotten inside Hayes head

This could be the one night in his life were he becomes brave and hangs it all out on the line and really goes for it. He for sure is promising it and he knows this IS HIS ONE CHANCE OF A LIFETIME!!
It probably wont happen but I couldn't write him off as a no hoper as many have already. Yes his chin is suspect...but so is Hayes. Both fighters have the power to crack the others chin and score the KO. In boxing especially heavyweight it only takes one good punch and your out of there! Lewis lost twice to fighters way beneath him talent wise. Now he was probably complacent and maybe a little arrogance crept in and he felt he only had to show up to collect his win. As did Tyson when Douglas destroyed him in such devastating fashion. Ali lost to Spinks who was a novice who had no right to even share the ring with him. Ali was old, out of shape and probs expecting an easy night. Remember in boxing there are no certainties!

Haye should win. But Audley could shock the world and it wouldnt be the first time and the odds of an Audley win are not as great as a Douglas win over Tyson was! Remember that kids!

 

The Ducker should be fighting someone legitimate !

 

:good I have wrote a similar post if Harrison come out swinging like his life depended on it, it would make a great fight but i hope Harrison proves me wrong i just think he hasnt got the heart for it... I have always wanted Harrison to do well but even hes saying it the only chance he has is that left hook..

 

I can see your logic, but it goes both ways. Take a look at Audley's own record and some of the guys he has lost to/struggled with. It's extremely easy to imagine him folding like garden furniture as soon as Haye gets to work.
