Apologies if it's been mentioned elsewhere but I couldn't see anything about David Haye wearing running shoes last night...

At first I thought he was just wearing them for the ring walk so he didn't get the soles of his boots wet, but was pretty surprised when he didn't change them.

Any idea why he chose to wear these? Can't see I've ever seen anything like that before. I hate even sparring with anything but boots on, so can't imagine going in to a fight like that wearing big clumpy things like what he was wearing.

He said in the press conference he wore them to get more grip because it was wet.

They where quite running shoes, they where more like wrestling shoes. The type of wrestling trainers they will be wearing the Olympics....

When i used to go to boxing training, i used to wear a pair of adidas wrestling trainers.

Did you ever open a can of whoop ass, and pile drive or body slam whoever you were sparring, into the canvas?

Lloyd Honeyghan worse Nike Air Max trainers for a few of his last comeback fights.
