Chisora has gone the distance with alot of big guys and good fighters and even recently took the best that man mountain Joyce had to offer.

But Haye who was only 210 pounds and outweighed by 37 pounds is the only fighter to stop Chisora early. I think this is a pretty underrated win considering the weight disadvantage and the manner in which Haye did it. Not to mention Chisora is still having the success now over a decade later when Haye stopped him.

Thing is that it is Hayes only claim to fame. Everything else that he did has a question mark next to it. Basically we can say that Haye had Chisoras number so to speak, styles make fights etc, this doesn't however mean that Haye could have or would have been anything else than what he was.

It's a good win for sure. Chisora was really reckless in that fight. He thought he could just run over Haye and he got caught by a punch he didn't see coming. Haye was always explosive and he had power, so you can't get overly reckless. Chisora left himself open too much and paid the price.

I wasn't necessarily saying Haye would've achieved more at Heavyweight it's his own fault for his disgraceful performance vs Wladimir. But I also think injuries plagued him in the latter part of his career which may of stopped him for achieving a bit more.

Haye was supposed to fight Fury that would've been interesting as Fury was still green and can be vulnerable to right hands and Haye had KO power.

But I still think the Chisora win is very underrated considering the weight disadvantage, and none of the other Super Heavyweights have been able to replicate what Haye did not even close.

Glassed me! He glassed me!! Is what I'll always remember about this fight lol. I think at the time he was expected to beat him and it just ended up aging well due to Chisoras performances going forward.

Prime Haye was very, very good. His combination of speed, reflexes and power was one of the best HW division has ever seen. However, he lacked fundamentals. His natural gifts and explosiveness worked most of the times but it wasn't enough to beat elite big guy like Wlad, who himself was incredibly fundamentally sound. I also think Haye wouldn't be able to overcome Fury's size and savviness. Yes, Fury didn't have Wlad's power to keep Haye reluctant like Wlad did, but he was even bigger than Wlad and feinted more. I think Fury's feints and lengths would keep Haye disoriented and Tyson would outpoint him.

The most interesting fight for me would be Haye vs Povetkin somewhere in 2012-2013. Both were excellent fighters with similar size. Povetkin was more fundamentally sound but Haye was quicker and had better reflexes. I think it would be very intriguing fight.

With these things being said I was rooting for Chisora and also expecting him to win.

I agree that it is an underrated win.
I always quite liked Haye but I do think that his heavyweight escapade, where he seemed to cherry pick quite a lot, probably had damaged his overall campaign there - and hence this win.

I was a big fan of Haye, such a shame he had a weak toe

Yes in hindsight definitely an underrated win
Funny at the time, despite being stopped I felt that chisoras performance was good until the knockout

Haye was a fantastic fighter and I think he would be right in the mix if he was around now in his peak

He doesn't beat Usyk, but he has a chance vs the rest imo and definitely has the speed and power to get close to Aj and Fury and punish them

Usyk is the only guy I think he definitely loses too

It basically demonstrates my point that guys Haye's size may carry all the stopping ability of a guy of any size, and it's part of the context for why adding additional higher weight classes is not really a solution to the imaginary problem of disparity in the unlimited weight class. A big man who is at the smaller end of the biggest men should be focused on being fit and his boxing abilities that are in line with disparities he will face. Not packing on weight or the orgs making more weight classes. Be in shape. Learn your skills. You can make big fights and close the show.

I don't understand what you mean. Before Chisora, Haye had captured four major world titles in two weight classes in his first 26 fights. And Chisora is his only claim to fame because everything else has a question mark? From what? Modeling?

Yep underrated win Haye did all he could to stop him and it worked. I reckon if Haye didn't get him out of there when he did he would've been in big trouble later in the fight.

Haye turned up the intensity and Chisora looked like he was trying to swat flies and left himself wide open.

Chisora had just gone the distance with Vitali, Fury and the undefeated Helenius. So it was a very decent result for Haye.

You sound like an expert on the matter. Please do inform me about the big wins that Haye captured during his career.
