Yes, I'm not sure how that strengthens your argument. Maybe a weight advantage isn't as advantageous as you seem to think it is.

Fury KO'd Chisora twice, also. Pulled out in the corner (2014) - still goes down as a KO for Fury, and let's not pretend that Fury couldn't have KO'd him if he wanted to. He was literally gesturing to the referee to stop the contest ffs. He then stopped him again despite only exerting partial power into his punches.

Chisora was never off his feet against Fury in 3 fights and the 2nd fight Chisora retired inbetween rounds.

Haye floored Chisora heavily twice and stopped him within 5 rounds which is a significantly better result.

I'm not sure why you're trying to turn this into Tyson Fury thread go make a Tyson Fury thread if you want to discuss his wins vs Chisora.

I'm not trying to turn it into anything. I'm addressing the points that you've made.

"within 5 rounds which is a significantly better result". That's not what people were saying at the time. People were saying that those rounds Haye went life and death and many said he was on the verge of gassing. Fury, on the other hand, delt with Chisora handily in the first and Chisora never laid a glove on him in either of the next two bouts. I'd say toying with and battering Chisora without breaking a sweat is more impressive. As stated, he could've knocked him out any time he wanted to, but you've ignored this point blathering on about how he was still on his feet.

Haye has a paper thin record to the extent people have to make out Mormeck was much better than he actually was. He wasn't that good and he was a little guy who was juiced up to the weight. Chisora is Chisora. A low-level gatekeeper to world level. Parker, for instance, is more of a gatekeeper to world title level. As stated, Valuev had just been beaten by a 46 year old Holyfield and got a dodgy decision.

It's a really poor record for someone who holds himself in such high esteem.

You do realize wins can age better right ? that happens alot in boxing. Chisora fought on for twelve more years and gave numerous notable Heavyweights tough fights. And yet Haye is the only one to stop him early and with a considerable weight disadvantage hence it's an underrated win. I don't know what is so hard to understand and why you keep having to make such a song and dance about it.

If you want to harp on about Fury's 3rd win over a past it Chisora be my guest i don't care and it's irrelevant to the thread in which you are derailing.

Again why are you going on this rant about Haye's resume ? i really don't care my guy. All i did was state Haye's win over Chisora was underrated and not really talked about that much these days. No one is stating Haye has a good resume filled with great names so i'm not sure what you're even on about. Someone in this thread asked what was Haye's best wins so i listed them i never once stated that any of those names were great names.

Mormeck was Lineal Cruiserweight champion and ranked number 1 in the division so it's a good win in context. Is Mormeck a great name ? no but it's still a good win.

Valuev wasn't that good despite his size but he's still one of the more prominent Heavyweight champions of the 2000s. @Rumsfeld did a video awhile ago about the top 5 Heavyweight champions of that decade and had Valuev in the top 5. Yes i'm aware of Valuev's controversial decision over an ancient Holyfield. But it's still a solid win for Haye in the context of the size difference and how many title fights Valuev won which was 6 in total.

You are one very strange guy, who seems to have a penchant for gaslighting. You simply cannot stay on course and argue the point, but rather have to resort to ad-hominem attacks, strawman fallacies, and gaslighting.

As soon as you mentioned that Chisora stayed on his feet for the Fury fights I knew that it would be impossible to have an objective discussion with you. Fury could've quite easily floored Chisora in two of the three fights yet you choose to ignore that.

I'll pop you onto ignore because you are unable to keep things civilised and argue the points at hand.

I appreciate you taking the time to compile this list, Im not sure that it screams quality however.

Valuev had participated in probably 6 controversial fights where he should have been declared the loser before facing Haye and Haye had one of the most pathetic performances in the ring that night in boxing history so its not good to put this one first on any list.

Mormeck started his career at light heavyweight and captured the french light heavyweight championship. He then went up to the original 190 pound cruiserweight division capturing a belt and then he got himself koed by Oneil Bell before meeting Haye at 35 years old and dealing with the 8 years younger man, this doesn't sound like a very glorious victory.

Did Maccarinelli ever do anything before or after losing to Haye?

Ruiz has the distinction of being the only HW ever to lose hw championships to two former middleweight champions and he must have been quite old in this retirement fight of his, sounds like slim pickings.

Strange guy ? stay on course ? gaslighting ? and i'm attacking you apparently are you for real mate ? what i even said to you ? i'm absolutely baffled.

You come into this thread bringing up Tyson Fury and his record which is totally irrelevant to the topic that's all that's happened.

You're instigating a debate about Fury which i've already told you i don't care about as it has nothing to do with the topic. And yet you continue to harp on about Fury's wins over Chisora derailing the thread.

And i knew as soon as you mentioned Tyson Fury in a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with Tyson Fury that i would be wasting my time.

It seems like you're coping to me "easily could've floored Chisora" well he didn't in 3 fights so why are even bringing up a fantasy scenario that never happened ? And why are totally dismissive that Haye floored Chisora twice heavily stopping him early trying to take away from Haye's win ? so you don't give much credit for Haye brutally stopping a younger fresher Chisora early. But you will give alot of credit for Fury stopping past it Chisora a 3rd time based on a fantasy that you conjured up that "Fury could've dropped Chisora" ? I got you makes alot of sense.

Put me on ignore i really don't care i don't even know you nor have i interacted with you before on here. You insult me and accuse me of doing all these things which is total lies. And then when you can't stick to the topic in hand and can't debate so you act emotional and put me on ignore what a joke.

You do you my guy good day to you.

Yeah it's not a great list mate Haye doesn't have what i would call any real stand out wins nor is his resume that good.

I class Mormeck as a good win based on his number 1 ranking and being Lineal Cruiserweight champion. I wouldn't say historically he rates that highly though amongst the best Cruiserweights even in a division with not a long history.

I don't think that highly of Valuev but he did win 6 world title fights and with the size difference it makes it a solid win for Haye nothing more nothing less.

Haye vs Enzo was pretty hyped up fight at the time in the UK Enzo was a champion and had made a few defences it was champion vs champion and two big punchers. Enzo's opposition wasn't the best but you have to remember the Cruiserweight division has never really had a strong era except for Usyk's era. I would say again it's a solid win for Haye i wouldn't say Enzo was anything special but he was decent champion with a big punch.

Ruiz was past his best vs Haye so that does take away from Haye's win but i'll give Haye somewhat credit for being the first man top Ruiz in 14 years since David Tua did it.

All in all it's not a great resume far from it but i do think though Haye's injuries towards the end of his career stopped him from having a better Heavyweight career than he actually did just my opinion. Apparently Haye gave Wilder the work in sparring that would've been an interesting match up.

Chisora is a good win for Haye, especially the way he did it.

For those who complain about Haye’s record, the thread was not about that, it was about the way Haye destroyed Chisora. Btw don’t forget that Haye KO’d Chisora in a street fight also, which is actually an even better win since Chisora carry himself as a “street gangster”.

Hate Haye or not, he did bring excitement (except toe fight) when he fought, all you haters can’t deny that.

It was underrated at the time because Delboy had lost 3 of his last 4 fights.

I think Chisora won clearly against Helenius but got robbed. He lost clearly to Vitali and Fury but Fury was seen as British level at the time.

Completely understandable why it was an underrated win for Haye at the time but it has definitely aged well.

Haye stoppage over Ruiz is also an underrated stoppage. Ruiz beat a lot of good fighters and although he lost 9 times he only got stopped 2x.

You hit is right on the head. Things have context, and the context was that Chisora was well on his way to the gatekeeper part of his career. He has lifted himself out through force of will, and put together the kind of career where everyone who has a win (or three) against him can be proud of it. But hindsight is 20/20.
