Herbie was outboxing the big guy until the punches landed.

I think Haye would have avoided the bombs then take Bowe out in the mid-later rounds

Think Big Daddy Bowe would take Haye.

That Herbie fight was very entertaining though.

i seem to remember bowe was in pretty bad shape for this fight and very sloppy so i'll say haye could probably out point him if he can stay out the way. Holyfield 1 bowe is different altogether.....

    Bowe would get him eventually.

Even if he lost every round he'd always be there, for all the stick he gets for the Lewis thing, his heart and chin were ridiculous... almost too good for his own good.

Beeston Hits Nail on the Head.

I give Haye a chance but i recently watched the Hide-Bowe fight and Hide hurt him a few times but he was even harder to finish. He could take a beating and still be standing there and dish it back.

The Holyfield I version of Bowe would have Haye out inside a round.

Of that I'm certain, as much as I'm a fan of Haye as a fighter.... not so much his chitchat.

Even against Golota in the return he was getting the **** beaten out of him and was still there - albeit probably not knowing where he actually was, and frustrated Golota into fouling himself out. Haye doesn't have the chin that Golota had.... but has a better mental makeup, however.

I have just watched the full fight.

Hide was knackered from about half way through the first round yet he had Bowe going a few times.

Bowe was in aweful shape for this one and faught extremely poorly.

    Haye wins this by KO/TKO.

I see Bowe is being likened to Chris Arreola in the general.

****in criminal ! Bowe is one of the best heavies i've ever seen on his game. He just peaked with holy 1. I remember someone (forget now) saying its rare that fighters get better after winning a world title and that applies here. Great great fighters get better but very good heavys come and go. Discipline was his only problem i saw. Great jab, right hand, killer instinct, good on the inside with a wicked uppercut and a great chin

Bowe was too skilled for Haye, no way Dave deals with that bait and snatch which only holyfield could match. People forget how good and well rounded a game Bowe had. Haye would get eaten on the inside.

Bowe. Doesn't really need an explanation. Just because you can box well for a few rounds like Hide did, and Haye could also, that means ****. It's a 12 round fight I don't think Haye would last the course.

We're getting a little ahead of ourselves. Bowe was a big, skilled heavyweight.
