If gangly David Jaco had bulked up to 245 pounds or more could he have devastated the heavyweight division? After all, he punched Ruddock's head in while being a skinny fool. Admittedly Ruddock wasn't fully grown by any means and rumour has it Jaco needed to smear asthma on his gloves to beat Ruddock. But still , Ruddock is one of the greatest heavyweights of all time, so Jaco must have been son prospect ! But maybe he was just too thin. We know now, with modern science, muscle and bulk is everything in determining boxing performance. But they still didn't fully know that in the 80s. With modern knowledge and AJesque muscle mass could Jaco have been the dominant great of his era ?
If he'd had bulked up he'd have one of the best resumes ever, defeating the likes of Tyson, Ruddock, Foreman, Tucker, Williams, McCall, etc........
Would he be throwing compact hooks from the hip with minimal torque? Unlike that awful Baer who threw wide hooks from the hip with minimal torque?
Just one would have a chance ... Marciano with modern nutrition at 230 pounds he had the frame of tua and tyson
No but I think it would be a good read. The man faced almost every name fighter of his era, back to back.
