Oh my bad. I thought you were talking about Saul Alvarez. Yea Jr. is media built. You gotta admit he has made improvements but wont be top level.

Why do people do this? As many on this thread has mentioned he's only 22, and he didn't do that bad honestly. Won the first 5 rounds. If Rubio had any less of a chin (even with his boxing veteran status) he'd have been knocked out in the first 2.
Rubio took it though, Lemieux got a little tired (of course when your swinging bombs), and got caught in the 6th, survived, and then that shot to the ear in the 7th was disgusting! The corner did end it to soon...He was still keeping his hands up, and trying to move around. He only had about 25 seconds left in the round, if he would have made that he'd at least have gotten his balance back., and maybe a second wind. Not saying he would have/ could have won, but he was still up 5-3 probably. IF he could have coasted even he may of had a shot. Tha right on the ear landed just perfectly.
Good thing he didn't fight Martinez though...Man, he'd have gotten hurt! This was one of the best things for him, and will teach him a lesson.

Agreed, one loss is not the end of the world and although he will be gutted he will probably become a better fighter for it.
Rubio should be praised for the win and not have it over shadowed by people slating Lemieux.

When people hype another fighter, there remains an underlying hope that someday that fighter becomes a P4P great in the future

Lemiuex's defeat is the kind of defeat that proves that he does not belong in the P4P calibre. He will not go far

No bro! there is no Alvarez Sr helping out, that kid has earned every bit of his success. And we havent seen the best of him yet.
JCC Jr is looking better, but we all know he's been carried this far because of his dad's name.

Thing is that now that he is a champ guys will be aiming to get a fight with him, and there are some good guys at 154 that would give him hell.

And what are you besides acting like the ****in' tight ass that you are ?

What should we expect from a guy living in an area where you can't drink booze past 1am...

Bring something boxing related to the board for a change or STFU pea brain.

I'm just happy that this guy was brought down to earth, the canucks have a tendency of making their fighter out to be the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Next to fall is Bute, whenever he does the right thing and steps up, which will be in.. what? 4-5 years from now?
