This kid has ton of heart when you compare him to the cowards like quillin and jacobs who ran every chance GGG looked their way he took the challenge right after he won the title he did not have to but he wanted to fight the best. wish more fighters had courage like this man
true point qullin "Why should i fight GGG i have children" qullin "For me to fight GGG i need to get mayweather and pacquaio money to risk my life" david "I will fight the best and if thats GGG ill fight him"
Somewhat underrated now, which is funny considering he used to be genuinely overrated. I like his bodywork especially, and he's done a real job on some solid fighters.
Lemieux's a good fighter, yes he failed badly against GGG, just couldn't deal with the jab but if you watch his other fights, he's definitely got talent.
If he wants it, I agree, he can stick around at a world level for several more years. I don't think he's ever going to be a truly "elite"/hall of fame fighter, or whatever greatness is defined by now. But if he maintains a good work ethic and keeps his weight under control, yeah, he's going to be in the mix.
i would really favor him against every mw right now apart from GGG saunders would probably be the trickiest one
I wished I could agree that this was WHOLLY on Lemiuex. He sure does have heart, but let's be real here, he was used as a sacrificial lamb to aid GBP in negotiating the bamboozling of Loeffler and GGG.:-(
I think him and Saunders would be close, a pick em' fight. Andy Lee seemed easily diffused by Saunders movement but Lemiux will throw relentlessly and stalk regardless of movement, see him fighting N'Jikam and Rosado trying to run marathons around him in back to back fights.
I think he's overrated, but damn did he earn my respect stepping up to Golovkin, and then the way he handled himself in their fight. He's got the heart of a champion. Quillin and Alvarez should be ashamed, just like everyone else running from Golovkin.
I personally think pacquaio should avenge his defeat to hassan and torrencempo before giving him credit
