Lemieux is 23, GGG is more than 30. Lemieux, like or not, is threat. I would like to see Chavez inside game against a puncher like Lemieux. Russ Amber, Lemieux former coach, wanted to wait before Lemieux had 50 or more fight under his belt. But the promoter wanted to rush. So they did. Lemieux beat the crap at Rubio for six round, but was exhausted. And Lemieux'S corner threw the towell in the seventh, thinking to save the young 21 year old guy.
Lemieux still might be champion at one point. He hit like a brute.

Lemieux is a threat only to his and Montreal Gas Station Attendants healths. The man lost to Alcine... ****ing Alcine.

Oh man, I couldn't see it then but GGG would tap that ass EARLY.

Lemieux's been such a disappointment. They've been feeding him bums to KO in the first and second rounds since losing to Alcine. Looking forward to him stepping up next year.

Prime example of a young fighter being fed tomato cans and then has no idea how to fight if his opponent won't fold like a deck chair.
I see a number of losses still in store when david attempts to step up to the bigger boys of the division.
Fun guy to watch though,I must admit.

    He's back.

"I'm training to go hard over 12, 15 rounds depending on the day during camp. I'm in the best shape of my career. If you thought I was strong in the past, you better get ready to see this."

He says he's "totally different" than he was in the Rubio fight. He also a dedicated conditioning coach.

I can't wait. War David. :smoke

Fernando Guerrero's a good fight for David right now, but hopefully he gets another decent opponent before stepping up to Quillin. I know Jullian Williams team was trying to make a fight with Lemieux earlier in the year but I could see them changing their minds if he destroys Guerrero.

I don't know. I'm not so sure Lemieux gets by Guerrero. It should be a good competitive fight, and the type of fight that should serve as a gauge on how much Lemieux has or hasn't progressed. Should be an entertaining scrap. Certainly better than the main.

 des... did you like that fight back then? David isn't as uppercut-happy as Bute once was, but man that punch is effective.

...regret the first couple of pages/posts as I wasn't familiar enough with Pirog & Golovkin, but this has been one hell of a ride.

After he loses to Golovkin, David will probably be in other exciting fights with the rest of the top 10 at MW.

Full props to Lemieux for taking this fight with GGG.Could have easily ducked this-like most of the paper champs under Haymon, but didn't.I wish David the best but feel he is going to be brutally beaten up.Much respect for the Canadian kid.:thumbsup
