HBO should be in too, they've broadcasted a lot of important MW fights over the years and should stay tuned for what's available to David next summer.

Young David is one of the best prospects around right now. I'm not quite 100% sold yet. If he demolishes Rubio, I'm all in!

    Longest camp ever for David.

Pressure of an eliminator at home.

Same height. Power and speed on David's side.

Yvon Michel promising David will shine against Rubio.

Better put all your chips on the table right now, Boo. David's performance will most likely end up miles ahead of postBHop-Kelly's. :think

In order to be "miles ahead" David would have to trap Rubio on the ropes 3 times, and let him go 3 times, in the first 3 rounds, win every round, and then make Rubio start crying and quit on his stool. It would be better for David not to clown around with Rubio the way Pavlik did.

Come on, you know David doesn't clown around. He was as explosive in the 10/11/12th round of the Naugler fight than he was in the 1st. He'll put Rubio into the same pace of suffering all throughout the fight. 'No mas' is an underestimation of what Rubio will think by the end of the 4th round. This doesn't go past 5 or 6, if Rubio doesn't quit on his stool because of a few KD's in rounds 2 to 4.

Lemieux already told the media he wanted to see if 'Rubio could take a punch'. The guy don't **** around. :D

All I'm saying is that he should not "**** around." This is a very important fight. It marks the dividing line between "prospect" and "contender." Obviously, a win hear will set David on the road to bigger and better things.

Pavlik went out and put on a show for his home town crowd. David needs to forget "the show," and get some hurtin' done. I think he will.

I thought Rubio was like 6'0"-6'1"? Either way, I think david's going to stop him.

    I'm on the bandwagon.

yeah I didn't like the way Pavlik fought that fight. I think it was the second round he had Rubio hurt with a right hand, and backed off. I thought he cnould have finished him if I recall correctly

Correct, my bad. 'Late rounds weren't a problem' was the idea.

I'm certainly in. Just sad I won't be home for his fight against Rubio.

Well -- we're off topic, and I don't want to hijack the thread, but Pavlik was specifically told to box Rubio's ears off, but NOT to knock him out.
