    Spike is the better boxer
Lemieux is the more explosive, and better athlete

I think Spike has a sledgehammer jab, if he gets it going he will bust up Lemieux.

Spike needs to let his hands go and not let Lemieux do his thing.

If Lemieux is allowed to tee of on him I think he will stop Spike mid rounds.

If Spike can earn some respect early I think he grinds lemieux down and wins around 9-10 rounds.

    65-35 Lemieux

Spike has a better chance going toe to toe than he does doing the rope a dope.

Spike needs to just fight like he did against Douglas and its 50/50.

A man who trains himself destroyed Spike.....

Lemieux should retire if he doesn't beat him comfortably.

Lemieux looked horrible last time out against a French club fighter. Spike by KO book it.

Lemieux is the harder hitter and still seems to be the better of the two.
Of course there's a chance O'Sullivan takes him out, but everything points to the opposite.

    He is average at best.

And I’ve seen everyone of his televised fights going back years. He has managed his career incredibly well to get to here.
What’s his best win after Douglas would you say?

    Exactly.

English title level opposition.O Sullivan didn’t prove anything in defeat v Saunders, had a go v Eubank and has beat a load of relatively poor opposition.

This year he has been genuinely in the mix to fight Canelo and GGG,that’s crazy man.Douglas is a solid win and I was pleased for him but Douglas had been found out previously, this wasn’t a world level victory, yet all of a sudden he was rumoured to be in the running to fight 2 P4P guys in a major fight.

This is a good match up,I favour Lemiuex because he is more explosive and athletic in his offence but Spike has a definate chance if Lemiuex is flat.
This fight tells us O Sullivan’s level.

Doesn't that describe Lemieux too, minus his power? With his slowing reflexes, wide punches, possibly declining punch resistance and even will to win, the slightly faster, straighter punching, more active, super confident O'Sullivan has a real chance here. Lemieux could well overpower him and that power and Lemieux's uncertain level makes it hard to call, but if not for Lemieux's power I'd make Spike the clear fave. I voted Spike by ud, and like many I'm sure rooting for him to pull it off.

The Winner likely gets Canelo north Americas know who Lemieux is better than Spike. Lemieux Loss to GGG wasn't damaging he did just as bad as everyone else, hell maybe slightly better. but vs Saunders he should he didn't know how to do anything right single shots all punches same speed. at least if SPike wins it's a newer face. not that Spike has any sort of shot vs Canelo.

    Not for me no.

Lemiuex has trounced Curtis Stevens and Glen Tapia and beaten the likes of N’dam,Guerrero and Rosado.

He is an established world level middleweight,I don’t believe Spike will ever reach that level.

If Lemiuex is sharp then he beats Spike to the punch all night and hurts him.The Stevens fight isn’t that long ago,he can still pull the trigger,he has dissapointed v mediocre opponents in the past but he has to be on his game here and I think he will be.

Are you ******ed or just an arrogant piece of cake ( i meant **** obviously) ? Still O'Sullivan has the same size and a comparable reach. Lemieux struggled to make weight for several occasions now and was moving up to SMW for a couple of fights recently. Rehydration weight isn't a big benefit / advantage if you have to shredd your weight to the bone in the first place to make weight, it's the only possible thing to do not to collapse. But of course you think Lemieux destroyed Stevens because of his rehydration weight he added after the weigh in. lol

ThereIS a chance spike could be catching DL a the right time. DL has looked physically to be in awful condition recently. Clearly he hasn’t been putting the work in or living the life. If lemieux can recapture his form from the Curtis Stevens fight then he will destroy spike. Spike really isnt world class. Great guy, hard puncher, but way too slow. Unless DL is completely shot I can’t see past a lemieux win here, by Stoppage . Either way both these guys are going nowhere except retirement... entertaining boxers at a certain level, but World class? Lemieux ...if he ever had it has lost it, and spike never had it to begin with.
    Retirement beckons for these two.
