Lemieux looked just awful against BJS. And, apart from the Curtis Stevens fight, he has looked pretty bad for the better part of the last 3 years. Don't be surprised if O'Sullivan outworks, or possibly stops (in later rounds) the hard hitting, but, clearly limited Lemieux. I hope I am wrong, and we get a blood and guts battle. But, if O'Sullivan has any brains, he will simply out box Lemieux. Lesser fighters than O'Sullivan already have done just that.
It wasn't televised in the states, but, I did read the result. My point is just that O'Sullivan at least seems to be peaking a bit, while Lemieux (in spite of only being 29) seems to be deteriorating as a fighter.
Yeah but we've seen enough of both fighters to know both at their best Lemieux takes his head off, if he loses to spike it will tell us everything where Lemieux is at. Plus, if he cant make weight comfortably at 160 he really wont do to well at 168. It might be time if he gets beat here
Lemiuex has also been able to drop much slicker Boxers than Spike. don't get me wrong Lemiuex was humiliated by BJS but spike can not do the same things spike isn't going to jab twice and then taunt and move the same way.
This is lemieuxs last chance . He's too small for 168, and if he losesto spike he's doomed at 160 too. Even the winner here won't have a bright future. At best one more big fight t awaits the winner, for the loser there is no future realistically in boxing. It's kind of a sad fight in that regard.
Really?? which ones? Lemieux has beaten far better opposition. the only guys he has lost to are infinitely better than O'Sullivan.
Listen, I am hoping for a great fight from both men. I just think that Lemieux just doesn't seem to have his head in the game anymore. I hope I am wrong.
3 weeks out he looks fairly out of shape. https://photo.*******.com/uploads/david-lemieux (2)_9.jpg ugh dumb site wont let me share a photo from boXXXingscene
