Lemieux beats everyone at middle right now with the exception of Martinez and williams...still about a year away from that
I am a big Lemieux fan. I like what I see, but is anyone questioning the fact that fighting at 21 in a championship fight against the top of the division is probably a little young.
you got points there... but there's no getting around those first round / second round knockouts that he's racked up. Even his last few fights, any good B-level fighter should be considered to win, he's flushed them out in the FIRST round! There were skepticism about that when he was building up his win foundation with C/D - level fighters and he was flushing them all out in the 1st/2nd round. But he has stepped up to seasoned veterans and still have done the same. There is no denying his power. Yeah, he seems to be open for counters, but really, there's few who are not. And those types incidentally dont put in much punching power. His next step-up should be either another Contender or a world title....
so he beats two former gold medalists in golovkin and korbov AND dmitry pirog?? man, highlight reel knockouts can really distort someone's judgement in terms of boxing:-(
KO a the yr candidate I like what I see only problem is he lunges a lot almost to the point where he could telegraph his shots but that is about it. Personally a bout with Andy Lee or Kirkland would interest me
