As seen on www.rds.ca (sorry, it is in french), negotiations are under way for a fight between the young puncher and ex-WBA jr MW champ Joachim Alcine. They say they are confident the fight will be made in december.

    Lemieux by KO.

Alcine wasn't bad 3 years ago, but look at his last 2 fights...Angulo took him out in one and he had a draw against a 2nd tier fighter. Easy night for Lemieux, but I'm glad they are not throwing him to the lions right after the Rubio fight.

I think this will be Alcine's last fight.

Didn't Alcine do the same to Ouellet?! Early KO into retirement for a modest payday?

Karma's still a b1tch. And Lemieux will hit Alcine soooooo much harder than Alcine hit Ouellet.

If Lemieux fights Angulo next, it would be Lemieux's last fight.

This is a good comeback fight for Lemiuex. Alcine is getting older and hasn't looked so well his last couple fights but atleast he's not some completely hopeless fighter. He's a veteran, who wasn't too bad at one time, and should give Lemieux some nice rounds before getting stopped.

It would be. Somehow, Lemieux is still holding some paper international WBC belt at 160.

I agree somehow, but I would be tempted to bet some serious cash on a 1st round KO. Alcine has been there before and is on the downhill. He probably won't get up when he'll go down and I won't be mad at him.
