Yeah, a first round ko wouldn't surprise me either and maybe that would be good for Lemieux's confidence. But, getting in some rounds against a veteran, even a faded one, would be good for Lemieux since he rarely gets rounds in.

Once Rubio got Lemieux into the mid rounds Lemiuex really struggled. He would be a better fighter if he could get some rounds in against Alcine(if they fight). But, if an early ko is there I'm sure he'll go for it. I think Lemiuex will be looking to pace himself a bit better here and most likely stops Alcine in the second half of the fight.

Lemieux team said they change he style , the only thing i can see they could change it's to take his time and not always trying to go for the homerun on each shot he throw!

He had trouble pacing himself and if his team and he can correct that than he'll be a better fighter. I think, since its his first fight back, he'll be trying really hard to pace himself so this fight should go some rounds. I'm looking foward to seeing Lemieux back in the ring, 160 is starting to pick up some steam and Lemieux would fit perfectly in the middle of all of it.

Lemieux didn't train properly for Rubio and didn't listen to his corner during the fight , he's young and talented and he his exiting fighter , he will be a real deal for a long time :bbb

I hope so, but talk is cheap. It's easy to say he didn't train enough before and he's a different fighter now. They all say that, but he'll have to prove it in the ring. He's really young tough, so there's a lot of time for him to improve.

Doesn't look like Ivon Michael has learned anything from how not to develope a fighter. He should be fighting durable non-threatening guys like Matt Vanda, Ossie Duran, or even Billy Lyle.

What a stupid fight to make for Alcine.

Lemieux should fight someone that'll stand up to his barrage better than Alcine. He needs rounds and Alcine is gonna be quick work and no help besides as a confidence builder and maybe that's what team Lemieux might be looking to do before getting him in there with someone sturdy that'll go rounds and keep coming.

i don't love the way david has been handled. too many easy ko's and not enough quality rounds before his fight with rubio

Alcine won't give him rounds. That will be a first round KO. More: a first power punch KO. I guess we have to see the fight as a confidence rebuilder.

it would be better to regain confidence by bringing in a more capable fighter to challenge young david more. otherwise why not just bring back the rainmaker from paris, arkansas
