Well, either way. Anything but a decision was likely here.

Where are the chincheckers when you need 'em? To me it seems like Lemieux's punch resistance is lacking. I don't want to take anything away from hard hitting Rubio but it took him only a couple of precise shots to completely derail Lemieux's game plan and knock him down and eventually out.

  10. Lemieux learned a big dumb lesson the hard way tonight

    Great win for Rubio!!!!

As for Lemieux, maybe David will learn to box a bit and not fall in love with head hunting so much. Poor strategy and lack of adjustment on his part tonight- let's see if he can fix that in the future.

And don't think booradley's not going to bring this one up when the discussion comes to Pavlik's level of opposition. :hey

Nah. He just swam into the deep end and wasn't ready for it, and got drowned.

Nah, he still had energy. He just got rocked by a few combinations and couldn't recover. Rubio was pummeling him at the end before the stoppage.

Eh, sort of, he did burn up a lot of energy. And one of the question marks was David's chin, stamina, and heart. All those KO's in 1 and 2 rounds are nice, but you can't expect to do that all the time. And this was a great test for him....unfortunately for him he failed.
