Lemieux scored a 1st round stoppage win tonight. Since his back-to-back losses to Rubio and Alcine, Lemieux has recorded four stoppage wins in 6 total rounds against the current Boxrec #258, #94, #211, and now #235 ranked fighters at 160. Basically he has, at a late date, become the Canadian middleweight version of Deontay Wilder. All 4 of these fights have been in Montreal, so Lemieux has probably made decent money from them, even enough to make a steady living doing this. I wonder anymore if he has the skillset, and more importantly, the desire, to do anything more than what he is doing now. Please I would be interested in anyone else's thoughts on this? Thank you in advance.

I guess they figured out what he is.

You have to take Lemieux as he is-an entertaining mediocre fighter.

He is young so he will probably step it up sooner o later but will fail again.

the problem with lemieux, is he dont work hard enough outside the ring to be top contender in the ring...to be blunt, he blows smoke up his own ass

if he were to put in the dedicated work it takes then he would be top world contender material

He's kind of like the Canadian version of the Japanese swarmer who just fought, Comma Guy.

I agree with John Doe's assessment. He could be a lot better than he is.

Seeing what Stevenson did to Dawson Lemieux now probably thinks he can KO the Klitschkos..

Lemieux was supposed to have fought Miguel Torres in April but broke his hand in Feb. This was just a tune up fight since he was out for so long and his trainer was busy with getting his other guys set up for some big fights.

Hopefully they bring David back in a month or two against someone like Torres or a Billy Lylle type.
