the football players you speak of are former college players who werent good enough for the next level....i would fully expect them to be jokes....they couldnt cut it as a pro in that sport either

its not a baseless assumption...take a guy like joey bosa and put him in a boxing gym since age 8 and hell build up punch resistance just like any other solid guy....only hes much more explosive and agile than most.....u guys look at gerald washingtons and seth mitchells and tend to think they represent the cream of the american athletic crop...they dont....they washed out at the collegiate level

the nfl hasnt just taken away a few great HWs....there are literally probably 100s of guys who could have been great HWs that never set foot in a boxing gym

a guy like lebron..with his size, length and athleticism would destroy and outclass ....."had he set foot in a boxing gym from an early age".....you act as if i think he could just walk out there now and beat top level guys or something

its the same insecure UK guys over and over who like to act like im talking crazy because your athletes are 2nd rate

take this guy....6-6 270 of muscle....agile and quick to boot...put him in a boxing gym at a young age......theres probably 7 or 8 guys in the nfl right now built close to him with similar, elite, athleticism....this guy would be a problem....the issue is hes 21 and already worth 42 million.....

would you expect a guy to have an NFL career, then start training for boxing when that is over, and become a champion? i wouldnt...im talking about these guys starting in boxing gyms from a young age.....you clearly dont understand american football.....guys arent going to become champions by learning to box after a football career

Completely different sports it's like comparing tennis and squash because both sports use a racket.

I don't believe the top NFL guys would walk straight into Rugby Union or League either....plus they'd have to pass tge drugs tests first.

tyron smith...6-5....around 300lbs...could prob drop 25-30lbs if he werent playing football....thick...stronger and more athletic than wilder...no bambi legs...26 years old and worth more than anthony joshua by a long shot

    http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/slides/photos/000/623/460/441092_display_image.jpg

theres 15-20 of these guys playing right now...that are elite athletes with monstrous size.....put them in boxing gyms from the age of 7 and theyd all prob easily beat any HW out there now

were not talking sam peters here...were talking no body fat...elite athleticism

Vitaly became the man first when he ran Lewis into retirement. Wlad was still not considered the best until vitaly stepped aside.

They wouldn't stand a chance in hell against Zlatan Ibrahimovic that took up boxing at the age 7.

What about Lionel Messi, would he be the best lightweight in the world and beat Crawford, Lomachenko and Garcia had he started boxing at 7?
