David Lemieux would be the man at 160 if it was not for Golovkin

He might be second or 3rd best, but m9st definitely not number 1.

He's improved quite a bit since his losses to Alcine and Rubio, but he's still too reliant on his power which causes him to still wait around. I don't think he'd be the number 1 guy if GGG wasn't in the division.

David Lemieux, gets KO'd by both Jacobs, and Charlo.

Nah , he spreads glass jawed Jacobs clean out. Jacobs hasn't the power to take him out early to avoid getting tagged with a bomber. :qpasaneng2:

Charlo is very unlikely to KO him and Jacobs would probably get stopped himself before he could put Lem down. I would really like to see those matches take place though.

The only thing holding him back was his stamina and he has improved on that in the last 5 or 6 years he only just lost to Golovkin so you really can't fault him for that.

I fault you for over rating him right now.

I don't get why people are overhyping Lemieux. He's a top 10 middleweight in what could be the weakest middleweight division in boxing history.

Could ask you the same, why are you hyping Jacobs and charlo? We know Jacobs has susceptible whiskers. The Mora KD surely did not help his case. Same goes for Charlo...who has ZERO quality wins at MW, and really, only Trout and Bundrage at 154.

But to answer your question, people are hyping lemmy because he won a good bout in impressive fashion. Posters tend to go a bit insane after that happens. Going the opposite of those guys though, is no better.

Charlo would his work cut out for him dealing with Lem's power and activity. People always talk about Lemieux's power, but really the toughest thing to deal with is workrate and speed. The reason why Stevens was so ineffective in their match is because Stevens likes to counter his opponents with a big shot, but Lem's speed and pressure meant that if Stevens even attempted that he was likely to get caught with something, which he did. Lem is also a very underrated boxer. People like to talk about how skilled Quillin was, but look at how differently they performed against the same opponent. Lem outperformed each time to my knowledge.

Also, this is not the weakest middleweight division lol.

Williams is a great win. He's likely going to go on to do great things in the division assuming that he can rebound from his KO loss.

What quality wins does Lemieux have? N'Jkam is his best win, and outside of that win, he has losses to Alcine, and Marco Antonio Rubio, with wins over a whole load of cans, journeymen, and fringe contenders. Jacobs has beaten better opponents than Lemieux. Charlo has too. Trout is better than anyone on Lemieux's resume.

The reason why Stevens was so ineffective was because he isn't good. Blame Golovkin fans for hyping and over inflating a journeyman into a viable contender.
