What does everyone think of his prospects? Obviously he's not fighting the best competition, but his 100% knockout rate is impressive regardless. He also seems like he'll be a huge draw in Canada once he begins to increase the quality of his opponents and headline his own cards.

I know we have a lot of dedicated followers of the Canadian, especially Montreal scene, on this site. I'd be especially curious to hear from them.

footage of him before he was pro. :)

yeah he is cool i like his moves. does everything right, he seems to be solid enough. his power comes from his technique, not a product of raw unbridled power (of course he does have a bit of that) also his competition is weak...but it's not like he is trying to get to a title soon he is only 20 and has 15 wins one after the other....not liek khan or fury who are talking about how good a champion they are. he is working his way up ...best way to go.

but you never know he might become a cantrell type figure

His defense sucks. Good power. Padded record. When he steps up to better comp we'll see how good he is.

He's very very good, quickness, power, dedication, sureley one of the greatest tomato killer in Canada right now, only future will tell if he's the real deal!

I would've left Lemieux in the amateurs for a few more years, to get the experience vs. the senior top elite, win some, lose some, and start the pro career with experience not 100 bums can give. I'm not criticizing or anything, I'm just saying a few years at the senior amateur level is essential and completely 'free of charge'.

Lemieux wanted to turn pro at 17 and Amber make him wait another year i don't think Lemieux would have waited any longer and his style didn't really fit the amateurs!

I get that. What I was saying is that from 2007 to end of 2009 he could've faced the top elite of amateur boxing without career risks or record to protect and gather the experience he definitely didn't get fighting these really carefully selected no-level opponents. He'll step up in time, that's for sure, but in the meantime, he could've faced legitimate opposition, as I've said, 'free of charge'.

Lemieux is a better prospect that Pascal was at this age, in my humble opinion.

Lemieux will have to step-up if he wants to get a better defence i don't think he will improve much with this kind of opposition ! we should see him step-up once he get this stupid KO record he was looking for!

The problem was that Lemieux, his coach and GYM wanted to have the record for most consecutive KO's to start a career, a record that Bute holded. That's part of the explanation for the tomatos he has faced since the start of his career.
