imo, the problem with lemieux is the same as all other quebec fighters, they train with the same coaches for way too long, you can only go so far under one mans knowledge, its like the quebec trainers and promoters are afraid to have other coaches come in and teach new stuff and show the fighters other perspectives, like they are afraid to loose their fighter to another coach.

it would be beneficial for fighters like bute and lemieux to bring in different guest trainer each camp to help work o the fighters weaknesses that their original trainer has not been able to address over the long period they have had to train their fighter...

stevenson is one of the few that has the right idea....

Tyson could put on muscle all over to compensate for his lack of reach, because he didn't have to worry about a weight limit.

Lemieux as a lighter weights fighter, does not have that luxury.

That's a good point but kind of irrelevant considering he has ******ed power.

Since rematches are all the rage today how about a Rubio rematch?
(MAR has a fight coming up he wins that... Then Rematch time)

Helps Lemuiex both in confidence & he gets his revenge.
(Assuming he dont get beat down again)

I still think his trainer Russ Anber ? stopping the fight was way premature. People crying about a young fighter getting ruined....because he was wobbled once for **** sake? Go play chess if thats your perspective.

The guy is an ESPN or maybe ShoBox fighter who can make more money than a lot of legitimate titlists by banging out mediocre competition at home. Other than to try and pick up a trinket from a perceived weak titlist, there's no incentive for him to step up his game; so I doubt he will.

Fun guy to watch. Won't get a lot of respect outside Quebec. Laughing all the way to the bank.

Lemieux is way too young to be considered done.

    But, he as to improve.

Something I haven't seen in his last 3 fights.

    New trainer anyone?

    I still believe in David!

A young guy with his power can go all the way with proper training.

here his next opponent on 8 February 2013 ( if the world doesn't end :nut)

Enough technics to make Lemieux think and a good chin too make him boxe some rounds!

Just looked up Torres (not seen him before), apparently it's Ricardo Torres' bro.

He looks small at the weight, basically a blown up welter. Still he's got some nice moves, pretty much schooled this unbeaten pole last year. Finished him in style too check it out:

Didn't look as good in his other fight on YT vs Navarro.

I agree that it was a bit premature, but Lemieux was getting knocked the f*ck out. You would'nt keep a trainer who has your best interest at heart in your corner? Good for you. Since he left Anber, he lost to Alcine who was supposed to be an "easy" fight, than went on to beat 3 more cab drivers.

Trading Anber for Ramsay is not something I would do.

Wow I hadn't seen that, only read about it. He looks like a little kid next to Majewksi he should definitely be at ww. Lemieux will probably starch him in a few rounds though.

    Really? why?
I heard Russ was a decent trainer, not sure though obviously below the level of freddie roach or steward but i thought decent at least.
