Been my dark horse for a long time...Very deceptive record, typically mexican journeyman start to his career fighting anywhere from jnr middle to cruiserweight just to get a fight.

But now he has strung some wins together he is showing he had a lot of ability...Rangey, southpaw with a good punch and he really has refined his ringcraft. Like to see him test his mettle against the best at 154-160.

I missed his fight against Duran at 154...would have liked to known how he looked.

Duran is a good solid contender he holds a win over european champion jamie moore. Is Lopez World title bound?

I have seen less capable fighters pick up titles in recent years mate...but it may well end up the top echelon of these divisions are to good for him.

He is a solid contender at the moment...He really hasnt stepped past that ESPN level yet.

He's campaigning at jr. middleweight now.. saw his last fight there and man did he look good! Better than I've ever seeen him look before. he was very quick and light on his feet which surprised me because I wondered if he would be weight drained by the step down in weight. He also used his right hand a lot more than usual and actually put together sharp combinations instead of his usual right jab, left cross routine.

Good looking contender for now and would make a great opponent for any of the current 154 titleholders, though I still wonder how well his chin will hold up because it's a bit suspect.

There were some rumours a while back that he might get a crack at Pavlik but Rubio got the call instead. No doubt in my mind Lopez would have been a better challenge. He is more skilled than his record indicates but his achilles's heel is his chin.

Although to be fair, Mustache Antonio Rubio was a mando and Pavlik risked getting stripped if he didn't fight him by next October.
