He deserved it more than Callum Smith did

Why didnt Hearn bat for Ryder get the shot when Yildrim got it?

Rumour has it he will unify the whole division in September. Then relinquish some of the belts for GGG fight as he will have mandatories that he does not want to become involved in.

There are also rumours that if the GGG fight does not happen in December Canelo may fight John Ryder in either England or Mexcio before a bigger fight in May 2022

I get that, but its still ridiculous. This is the best Hearn could do for him? A hot prospect who is looking to rise quickly?
Maybe it´s something behind the scenes, but Hearns´ handling of Ryder is just baffling to me.

I know it’s been said already but this is too much too soon.

This will set back Morrells career at least year *if* he can get past the psychological damage of being violently obliterated on the world stage.

This is bad match-making for both sides. Looking forward to seeing it, nevertheless.

I don't think so. we always complaint when young prospects are taking by the hand, and facing bums. Now we have a 23 years old kid that wants to fight stiff competition from the get go. And some fans think it is too much. He doesn't care if he lose his 0 or not. He wants to fight the best available competition. He was 137-2, in the amateurs, a rising star in the making. One thing for sure, we can't complaint about his resume. He debuted against a 2-6 boxer and follow up that with a 15-6, 22-0 and a 26-3 fighters. Compare his trajectory with another young gun, Berlanga and the difference is abysmal. And there's a least three more Cubans that are on the fast track, Yoelvis Gomez, Ariel Perez and William Scull. Stay safe.

I suppose it's possible, I just don't think it will happen.

Unless Canelo don't want to pay the sanctioning fees

It’s not that. It’s more he doesn’t want to do the mandatories involved. The WBO mandatory is due and will be Zach Parker. Do we really want to watch Canelo vs Parker? Prefers to fight the big money fights.

the exact same is going to happen after Fury vs AJ one. They will drop a few of the belts and keep a few. My guess is Canelo keeps the WBC and drops the rest. Maybe he keeps the WBA and fights Ryder if he wins
