    Lol Mcglinchey who? Dreamer mate

Nyika is too slick, too kiwi. He's a bit skinny though really, don't think he hits that hard, but damn McGlinchey is easy work for him.

Sean McGlinchy has got nothing mate, he's too weak, no speed who cares how good he can box.

He's up against a genetically superior in every way athlete.

If the number 1 makes the final then good on him, atleast it will be a better scrap. McGlinchey is lucky to have gotten out of the 1st round.

Nah mcglinchey is going to break him up

You just proved you know nothing about amatuer boxing the Ireland number 1 isn't eligible to compete in the commonwealth games

Nyika is lucky because he would end his career before it even starts lmfao

I was taking the **** mate.

This boy will go pro soon, there are a few people in the know in NZ that rate him pretty highly. He's going to be a world class cruiser in the next 5 years

He will be average, joe ward would batter the living **** out of him, better he goes pro right after the commonwealths to avoid that beating

He would be pissing blood and shitting teeth for a month if he ever faced ward and that's only in the amatuers

I don't follow Joe Ward can't be arsed really, I only follow Kiwi amateurs (and only the future stars at that). This kid has a lot to learn but he's physically gifted and better suited to the pro game any way.

I don't see no point in him waiting for the Olympics, even if he gets a gold there to go with his Commonwealth gold it will do **** all really.

He should go pro asap and start making a name for himself. When is this Ward chap going pro? Why is he so great any way?

He should go pro the boy wouldn't have a chance in the Olympics, commonwealth medals mean nothing ,Olympic medals mean a lot

Ward world junior champion and youth champion, won both of them when he was still over a year underage, Irish elite champion just after his 17 bday beating Olympic silver medalist kenny Egan

European senior champion at 17 years old, robbed out of his place in the Olympics, beat the **** out of egor mekhontsev(the eventual Olympic gold medalist) before the Olympics just after turning 18

World senior bronze medalist last year age 19, this nyika guy could be ok but he isn't a tenth of the boxer joe ward is, he would get battered

Ward is made for the pros already fights like one and hits like a truck, will go pro after the Olympics

Must be pretty impressive if he's as good as you say he is. He sounds like superman lol, we'll have to wait and see.

Must be a black mark on him not making the Olympics though?

Pro game and amateur game is still a pretty big gap though

Nyika is far less experienced then most euro amateurs so he probably should be behind them to be fair. He hasn't fought on their level before. He's on pacific level at the moment.

When he gets that big time experience he'll be hard to beat, he's young, big and quick. Just needs to be fine tuned now. He beat that indian chap on pure athleticism, the Indian was a very effective and experienced technical boxer. The indian had much better defensive capabilities he just couldn't catch him. David's on a different level to most with his speed of foot and hand. He's like a 6ft 4 light weight.

No black mark against him he got flat out robbed at the European qualifying event againSt the home fighter in Turkey

Also it's a lot harder for boxers to qualify from Europe then oceania
