Your probably right about the Olympic's haha, I just think its a waste of time.

More than likely he will stay Amateur for a few years, I'd just like him to go pro now for selfish reasons. We in NZ only get to see these boys fight at events like Commonwealths and Olympics otherwise we just read about them in the paper. I like him and i'd like to see more of him. He needs to put his hands up though, not everybody is feather fisted like McGlinchey.

If he was boxing in the wsb he would be fighting around 5-8 five rounders a year against the bet amateurs in the world in a pro style . You would see him a lot

And it would be better preparation for the pros than knocking over cans

That **** has never been televised in NZ as far as i'm aware. I suppose I could stream it from somewhere that was hopefully legit.

All the regular season matches can be streamed from the soba website for free

For post season you have to pay a small fee

Wsb is ten time better preparation for the pros than fighting cans

And this year the top boxers in it have a chance to qualify for the Olympics

I just watched Ward vs César la Cruz Peraza in last years semi.

Peraza boxed his ears off, I could see Nyika hanging with those two. He's got similar speed to Peraza, just needs to develop the sharpness. Peraza is pretty undersized isn't he? He looked a good deal thinner and shorter then Ward. He also needs to learn to keep his hands up as well.

What its true, Ward got schooled by a middleweight most probably Peraza is not big by any means. Ward didn't land anything the whole fight and he looked scared, I'm not impressed by that effort anyway.

On pure athletic ability Nyika is easily on par with those two.Actually he's got far more than Ward to be fair. He just needs to catch up a bit in the experience department.

Lets put it this way, he would have landed more shots then Ward in that fight thats for sure. Nyika is twice the size of those blokes. His body hasn't even matured yet either, he's just a boy at the moment.

    Your deluded lmfao

Try to get someone to support that argument and i will be amazed

    Levels in the 81kg division

Top level- de la cruz, ward

    2nd tier -Niyazymbetov,Mamazulunov

    3rd level- ivanov,benchabla,ganzulia

    4th level-sep,michael,mullenberg

A guy one level below has a chance at beating a guy one level above but very little chance at beating a guy 2levels above

I'd put nyika at level 4 at the moment , you can't forget that the commonwealth games has very little talent at it, there's Irish guys and British guys who will win medals even gold ones and they would be third choice for the national team

Ward is not on the same level as de la cruz if that result i saw was anything to go by :rofl

I'm saying if they fought today he'd be a live underdog, especially against Ward who appears to struggle against slickness.

In 5 years time Ward gets a damn beating. He is too small for 200lbs and thats where he'll have to fight Nyika.

he would be a live underdog and a dead loser after the fight

because wards beaten everyone else in the division and is 5 years younger than de la cruz, also his tactics for that fight was terrible. Also throwing the odd jab and staying out of range the whole fight is not beating someone badly. Nyika doesnt have a tenth of the skill that de la cruz has either

in 5 years time nyika will be a super heavyweight , ward will still be a light heavyweight what in gods name are you on about?

Nyika wont be making light heavyweight forever his body hasn't even matured yet, he's still a skinny kid really. Ward on the other hand probably wont be growing much, light heavyweight is his weight. If they were to fight in the pro's which probably wont happen it will have to be atleast at cruiserweight and possibly even heavyweight because Nyika will never be a light heavyeight. Ward looks like a good sized lightheavyweight, but potentially a undersized cruiserweight or tiny heavyweight.

I don't care who win's in the AM's and neither will they because both will be remembered by their pro results. Nyika will make easy work of him in the pro's because he will be too big for him. Way to quick as well, he will probably even hit harder then him.

The kid done well winning his first major AM title today.

wasn't jor kind of proven right? the commenwealths are a poor competition, nyika couldn't get past the first rounds of the worlds and ward won silver and qualified for the Olympics, his been proven right tbh
