That would be fine if he was 22 years old, but he's pushing 30. His age, combined with how good he looks right now, is why so many folks think he needs to step up immediately. Either jump in the fire or get out of the game. He needs big name opponents who aren't too dangerous: Adamek, Fury, Mitchell.... These guys are almost certain victories RIGHT NOW. They'd gain him valuable experience that the upcoming fight will not, and they'd move him into the international spotlight. Otherwise, he becomes another Boytsov.

One punch from Robert the beer belly bum Helenius and British China shattering all over the place.
February 2013: Either Guinn, Ahunanya or Zack Page, preferably Guinn. (Handling more extended fights) June 2013: Either Albert Sosnowski, Chazz Witherspoon, Michael Grant, or Manuel Charr, preferably Charr (assuming he comes out on top against a very faded Gomez most likely). November 2013: Either Thompson, Stiverne(assuming loss to Arreola more likely), Wach (assuming loss to Klitschko most likely) or Walker, preferably Wach. A serviceable, strong, similarly sized man with some durability. They'd all have a reasonable purpose, be reasonably experience-building, garner him some reasonable exposure (Say Charr and Wach if their fights turn out likely, means two recent world title challengers), but still see him the reasonable favourite if he passes all like I'd assume he would. January 2014: Someone like Solis/Fury/Pulev, thinking none are likely the champion by then. August 2014: Title shot. Should he not follow these guidelines which I have laid out for him, he will be voodoo'd with a doll that I have of him.
I say put him in with Chisora and let's see how he handles a decent brawler. That will also give an idea where Price stands in relation to Helenius/Fury/Haye/Vitali at the moment.
