David Price accepts Povetkin bout

Pov would land and a murderous overhand right in round 1 and it would smash Pricey's pea head into mush. He would be down like a tree that's been struck by lightning. There would be no wobbling, no trying to get up after 5 seconds and it being waved off, he would be K.T.F.O and it would be life threatening.

 

An utter mismatch, Price destroys him.

Can't see Povetkin fighting outside of Russia without failing some sort of PED test

 

Maybe they mean Povetkin's wife v Price. Even then Price would be sparked out.

 

He could come in under nourished and get the job done I think, totally clean with health problems and he still gets the KO. If I was close to Price I would plead with the man to pack it in

 

Price's best chance is to do a kamikaze attack and use up all of his 3-round gas tank in the first round.

 

If this happens, Povetin will be arrested for murder 31st March. Price shouldn't be allowed in the same ring.

 

My complaint about this fight is that Price will be such an underdog that I won't be able to cash in on him getting knocked out, as I typically do.

Even if Gun-Shy Dave did muster up the boldness to let his money punch go and connected flush, Sasha wouldn't be going anywhere. Price can punch some, but his power always was horribly overrated. There isn't one remotely world class fighter that he ever got rid of. OAP Thompson was the best guy he fought - granted, Tony did get hurt, but not so badly that he couldn't get off the canvas and come back.

 

Those saying Povetkin won't be paid enough need to look at the bigger picture. He will obviously have options on AJ as part of any fight on his undercard. Either next up or after Wilder if that fight gets made. Either way, Povetkin will hit the jackpot.

But then if Price does happen to land...
