I heard Chisora was also offered and was close to accepting. Anyone here that? It's great move by Price if he gets the fight. He has no options and is not good enough to string together wins against good opposition so take a flier on this and hope you hit a home run with your big punch. Povetkin should win easily. I was hoping for Pov vs Chisora
As a non-belt holder he's pretty much faced competition that's on par with the standard that 2/3 of the major world belt holders have set themselves to. Duhaupas, Rudenko, Hammer and Price aren't the "worst opposition available." These are all fringe contenders that Wilder and Parker would happily feast on.... I just said something a couple hours ago how I would be really surprised if this were to go down. If this is to be true, well, looks like it's a legit thing? Anybody think Povetkin does it? I see no reason not to for him, especially if this indicates a behind-closed-doors deal for Joshua up next. If not, I don't think he does it.
Price is the type of dude that would be hired as a debt collector, show up to collect a debt, and get flat out bundled by an old woman, and then Ashton Kutcher and his camera crew jump out and tell him he's once again been punked on camera.
For Povetkin , who has millions in backing behind him , fighting Price would be an absolute tragedy and he deserves to hang his head in shame for even considering it. Even Dave Allen would be embarrassed to enter the ring vs Pricey.
You never know in heavyweight boxing...remember Mike Weaver? price does have the power to ko most heavies if he,s lucky
