I don't see the point of this fight from Povetkin's point of view.

Lot of ppl seem upset with Povetkin if he takes this fight. While I agree it looks like a mismatch, if it ensures the Joshua/Parker winner, you take it. He's 39 fighting Rudenko's of the world in Russia won't get you the big fight. Fighting on a Joshua undercard with 50 thousand plus fans it's great exposure.
I think this is a win win. Although I would prefer Chisora as the opponent.

Is there a roof at the stadium? Expect Pricey's head to hit the girders after the first uppercut

    I agree.
Price was a massive HW puncher but since the losses seems to not throw with the same force as if concerned about whats coming back at him. He backs away when punching so the power does not seem as much as it was.
I have said it so many times but we seem to rush HWs in Britain and sometimes had they had a few more easy wins and nothing fights to gain experience may well have gone further.
I was saying this before when saying Wilder had plenty of learning fights and gained experience and wondered how he would have done if pushed like Price was -
Consider in Prices 11th fight he was facing undefeated 15-0 Dallas
In Wilders 11th fight he was facing 4-2-0 D Nichols
in Prices 12th fight was facing McDermott
After that was current British champ Sexton
In Prices 14th fight he was facing A Harrison who wilder didnt face until after Price had beaten Harrison in Wilders 28th fight.
In Wilders 14th fight he was facing 11-38-0 fighter who had fought at 160lb previously
In Prices 16th fight he was in with T Thompson
In Wilders 16th fight he was in with a 6-6-0 fighter who had been inside SMW

    Who got it wrong?
I expect undefeated Price would have done a similar job against the same opposition and then been in a position to have challenged Stiverne

Only an opinion and doesnt mean much but just a thought

This wont go beyond 2 rounds. Price fights with the fear these days, he wont allow himself the time to wind up his big shots, gets all jittery and is that worried about taking 1 single punch he ends up all nervous and rigid and he is sapping his own energy and also seems to end up making himself easier to hit.

In other words he is screwed. Would love to be proven wrong he was a good heavy handed prospect.

Yeah definitely. He needed to work on stuff after Thompson too, like his Jab, a little core strength wouldn't of gone a miss either..One fighter that i'm gutted for Bailey. I remember the commentary back in the studio after Audley v someone, might of been against Wilder actually, and they were shitting on him the whole panel about AH performance, and he wasn't having any of it. Stuck up for Audley and refused to be one of the boys and toe the line. Now hes in the same position.Shame, hes a good fella !

Povetkin was knocked down by a Wlad jab. Why can't Pricey send him to the floor with one of his trade mark telephone pole rights? Oh just the picture of it! We need this fight to happen.
