    How many fans has Pricey gained through being a mental wreck? Damn his following is huge, we would celebrate a Pricey win against Povetkin like hes unified the division

    Klitschko never knocked anyone down with a jab , but i agree Pricey could beat Povetkin if he cheated like Wlad did.. He'd need 10 experience in bear hugging and back humping though

    Audley did some serious altitude training up in Big Bear, that helped him a lot! It could do wonders for Pricey's stamina and bear hugging skills:

    Yeah I bought into all that running up and down mountains stuff for Harrison and put on a few quid for him to spark out Haye. And he never through a single meaningful punch ! I still haven't recovered from that tbh.

    If it's building up crowd exposure with a view to a fight with AJ, it makes sense. As a name on a resume, especially Povetkin's, it doesn't make sense. Still, let's put this in perspective: Price would be one of Wilder's top wins.

    Who else is he going to fight right now that matters? Fact is all the big names are otherwise occupied, Joshua, Wilder, Ortiz, Parker, even Whyte and Browne all have fights facing one another.

    Pulev, Breazeale and Miller are the only other top level opponents currently available. Pulev is risk adverse, Breazeale won't risk his mandatory position vs Wilder. That maybe leaves Miller if he wants the fight in Russia.

    So while Price is indeed a seemingly pointless fight Povetkin's next fight will likely be against some other pointless opponent like a Hammer, Rudenko or Wach again. At least by fighting on a big card in the UK against a Brit he gets to build an eventual showdown with Joshua and also maybe gets used to the UK a little, so by the time he does face AJ coming to the UK won't be such a big adjustment.

    I'm not sure if he is even considering it at this stage its just a rumour..

    I would be very surprised if he fought Price.. It would be like Deontay re matching Nichols on the under card..
