Well actually under The Good Friday Agreement, Fury (like any other resident in the North including Rogan) can choose his/her nationality.. and Fury chooses Ireland. Like any Irish Traveller would.

Anyway, Fury's father is from Galway which is in the West of Ireland.

    But hard luck pal.

he was born in England...just like the plastic paddys Andy Lee and Matthew Macklin. Its funny how Ireland has one of the highest emigration rates in europe, but one of the highest 'i claim to be part irish' on the planet. i mean every american, all 310m of them claim to be part irish. Decent portion of English too.

Where was Fury born? I was under the assumption that it was manchester. I didn't realise his father was from Galway (i didn't need the geogrpahical description, you don't give me enough credit :yep)

Bollocks, did you even see his fight with Gregory Tony? Chisora would cause Towers all kinds of problems.

He was born in England to Irish parent's just like Lee and Macklin who's entire bloodline is Irish. The only thing English about Macklin and Fury is there accent. Ireland has one of the highest emigration rates because our country's gone down the ****in hole. But they all are proud of there heritage where ever they are. You tell Macklin, Lee or Fury they're not Irish.

He was born in Manchester but my origional comment was that according to Fury, he's Irish. To which you replied "Northern Irish so fall's under UK" to which I replied with my last comment (not arsed writing it again). I know very well where he was born and didn't deny it.

im an aline...dont make it true...i was born in england...so i guess im english...fury was born in england so that makes him...what? ....... with Irish Heritage. Which makes him as Irish as Andre Ward or as English as Jeff Lacy.

...by your way of thinking Halle Berry is English...thats a fine piece of arse.....or was.

His child would be of Irish heritage like Fury.

If you and your wife reproduced in another country, would you not teach your child about his/her heritage?

    Germany/Spain??

of course...heritage yes. I was born in England, scottish Great Grandad and I also had a turkish great great grandmother. So Im English with Turkish (not that you could ever tell, just one drop in the gene pool) and scottish heritage.

Tyson Fury is an Englishman with Irish heritage, hes not Irish is he if he wasnt born or raised there. As a small country I can see why you would want to claim him, but 'plastic paddy' is a name known all over the world as so many do it. Look at your last Ireland football squad...5 non Irish born players in it.
Hargreaves and Rusedski claimed to be English...but lets be honest, we both know they arnt. They are both born and raised canadians with english parents.
