He speaks well and broadcasters could do and are currently doing a lot worse than having David Price on. I have no idea what he will be doing with his life moving forward but it would be good to see him in a broadcasting capacity. I actually believe he would be a very good commentator.
From all of his experience in boxing, and the fact that he's not thick as mince like David Allen and many others, he probably knows a fair bit!
He's a lovely fella apparently from folk that have encountered him. That's worth a mention. I've enjoyed watching his career, but I'm glad he's taken this decision. I wish him well.
I think most UK fans are fond of Pricey. Of course he didn't achieve anything like his potential, but never stopped trying. Wish the guy well and agreed with @Safin, it'd be good to hear him pop up on broadcasts.
It’s just a shame he was destroyed by drug cheats, would his career went a different way without them stoppages? We will never know but id like to think it would’ve.
Top lad is Big Dave and very disappointed for him not being able to fulfil his high ambitions in professional boxing. Never the same after the double Tony Thompson defeats and just wish he went out on a high after schooling Pudding Allen.
Always comes across as a decent bloke, good decision to refuse a place on that Liverpool card. Wish him well.
There was always hype around Price, he was found out at the top level, Klitschko would have made a mess of him.
If only mate. Always cheered him on. He was fun to watch even when he lost. He had decent skills but his hand speed and footwork betrayed him against the more dynamic smaller heavies as did his gas tank. Glad he’s took this decision and hope he prospers in retirement.
No-one can ever say that his fights were boring. Was gutted when he lost back to back to Thompson. But he took it on the chin and carried on. He knew it was time to hang up the gloves. Got nothing but respect for the man.
