 Yeah I like Maloney (no homo), but I just felt he needed a fair crack of the whip in this thread :yep

Inbred ****. Anybody who doubts that Warren is by and far the best promoter in this country is stupid. And you are a 6 fingered, inbred, stupid bellpot

I never said Warren wasn't the best promoter in this country.

I just don't think he's that good.... the best of a pretty shoddy, childish bunch.

It's a bit like asking who is better out of Gary and Phil Neville :yep

    Oh, 1-0 :rofl

Neville brothers have both had good seasons. Both can count themselves very unlucky not to have been in that squad ahead of Carragher (at the very least)

I'd sooner have gone with 22 players than taken Carragher.

At the start of this season I thought it was just a bit of a blip but every time he played against a quick forward he got torn a new one pretty quickly.

Even at his best about five years ago he was on the slowish side, now he's got the turning circle of a 40 ton truck and has resorted to rugby tackling - see the America game :yep

Stick with Upson, or we can forget it tomorrow.

He's been that poor for the last 3-4 seasons. I hope he doesn't play tomorrow otherwise England well and truly are ****ed

    :think

This was the first season I'd really seen a noticeable (and permanent) decline with him.

Maybe it's because Alonso isn't there anymore - Mascherano is just a clone of David Batty (if as good) that his lack of pace and ability on the ball has been exposed (sorry Gaz :yep) because he's been forced to do more running and distribution.

I mean, he's about 34 now and has had a hard career of nearly 700 games for Liverpool..... so it's bound to come.

watching it live, with no replay i thought he landed on his head [a punch] but watched the replayand i can understand the look on prices face. he definatly took a dive. these eastern euros need proper checking before they come here to fight. crist ,it may not be his choice, but there must be a uk boxer he can get some rounds in with.

    :yep

Price's opponent last night was beyond a joke and it's becoming a regular thing now. He's supposed to be the most talented of the lot and he's fighting boxers who don't even want to be there? Pointless.

I like Price, seems a nice kid (even though he's older than me :yep) and he can obviously box.

Maloney is just letting him down badly here, he should ditch him immediately.

It's one thing that annoys me with British boxers - they just trot out the ''I leave this to my promoter'' when asked about future matchmaking. How about taking responsibility - it is your career after all, rather than trusting someone that has most likely only signed you for their own personal gain.

Fighters should not, under any circumstances, sign exclusive deals with promoters.

Even Hennessey would be moving Price along, quicker than Maloney is.

Price is, so far, learning absolutely nothing as a pro. How hard can it be to get a durable fighter in there for him??
