Chisora would destroy him on the inside. Nightmare style for an all time low confidence Price.

It has become clear that his biggest problem is that he has had it to easy up to Thompson.

Having good power at domestic level means he never had a gut check, dealing with problems or crisis if they arise.

    Damn shame.

I think Chisora is better than his record suggests....beat Helenius and gave a good account of himself with K......with his right head on would he no problem with the Price from tonight

He lacks hand speed at the highest level and he's simply too big and immobile to do all the non-flashy things without being gassed. He'd be okay if it was just a measuring from distance contest but all the holding, pushing, and moving around the ring seem to completely drain his reserves; so much so that he hasn't even got the energy to jab.

I think you guys have underestimated Thompson tbh. Price fought the wrong fight and needs to work on his stamina but I still think he can compete at the top level with a bit of time out and maybe a new trainer.

Who was the best fighter that David fought before Thompson ?

Looking at his record before thompson he fought at total of 39 rounds in a period of 4 years against domestic level fighters its no where near enough experience.

Its a shame he lost and if he does come back it will take time but at 30 he is young enough for a heavyweight to still have a decent career, but the stamina is a concern how did he tire so quickly ?

Or was he copying what Lewis did too much ?

Agreed, all is not lost, he has tremendous power, reach and size advantage. He has decent boxing skills as well clearly. If you seen Wlad floundering about in his losses you would say that he had no hope of a return either. He needs to go back to the drawing board though and style himself of Wlad and do the basics well and keep the distance at all times. It will be a long haul and he doesn't have that much time being 30 but all is not lost.

If I was a coach I would rather be given someone like Price to work with that someone like Fury.

The thing is Price had confidence issues even before the first loss against Thompson. Now he's lost again in awful fashion, is his head going to be right to improve his game?

    I don't think so.

Price would crap his pants at the mere mention of Wilder's name.

Thing was disappointing was lack of heart. No willingness to bite down and grind the round out, he should just jabbed and kept him at length for a round or two. He was woeful on the inside, I can't believe he hasn't worked on that in sparring or threw it out the window fight night.
I still believe he has a role in boxing. He has devastating power. But will more likely become a gatekeeper rather than opening it himself.
If he does come back he's going to have to take the slow route. Leave Chisora alone. G back to British and gradually work his way back up.

Wilder could KO Price in the 1st round, career suicide IMO. Wilder might be **** but have you seen Price's defense? Wilder would land on Price and well you know What could happen.

you boys are being too harsh. Firstly, pricey is still a young heavy, very young. He has raw ability, but it hasn't been nurtured by Franny Smith. His advice in between rounds was truly woeful, he reminded me of a drunk pub guy screaming cos his measly ten quid bet was in danger.

Pricey, if he is serious, should move out to Canada and train with Lennox for 6 months, then go to germany and become a sparring partner for the k2s for the remainder of the year. In those final 6 months, he should have 2-3 confidence boosters and after that look for a decent come back fight at around 32.

He still has great potential, he jus needs the right trainer behind him. I also blame frank maloney for **** match making here, he's the biggest failure in this all and i think his post fight reaction showed this. Crying on camera ffs, drop me out u soppy edl/ukip ****.

    Hughie Fury is the future

Also watch out for Ian 'the dark horse' Lewison

Big money fights can still be made with price because of his name. After two or three comeback wins the fury fight can still sell big.
