Haye's probably going to call it a day soon so i imagine Booth sees Pricey as his next big man

 

Haye used to drop him regularly when he was in the Hayemaker camp by all accounts.

Good move for Price imo. Booth will improve him a lot.

 

I think its a step in the right direction for pricey.....but its not going to be a quick fix there is a long road ahead. Lets be honest there is lots of things that need improving. His Stamia is awful, Ring IQ is low, Still question marks about his chin, Still question marks about his heart.

 

My concern with the choice of Booth is Price would need to fight in a very different style to Groves and Haye to be successful and he hasn't exactly been shown to get much out of Lee, Aydin etc. when working with them. How versatile is he as a trainer?

If we also accept one of Price's problems is stamina, Booth isn't exactly famed for that either.

I hope it works as it's good to have a few British heavyweights in the mix, but I'm undecided on whether it's the best partnership. All depends on whether there were any decent alternative options for Price to go with I suppose?

 

Yeah not sure time will tell, stamina isnt exactly a great secret he should already have contained a good bit of stamina but it doesnt appear so...he's still at the 3 rounds amateur stage, god knows how he had been training and eating prior to now..

He was an amateur boxer who after getting an injury, became a fitness instructor... before going on to become a boxing coach.

 

Because Haye gassed once vs Thompson, Booth will forever be associated with a fighter who supposedly always gasses early in fights.

 

I agree with this, Haye has not shown that vulnerability since then....saying that he doesnt throw anywhere near as many punches!

Maybe that's true... I'm not saying he can't get a fighter in good shape. Clearly he can. What I was getting at is fitness and stamina isn't what you associate him with. Good tactics and running a calm and considered corner is what you go to Booth for.
