seems to be the fight being talked about now, with talk of it first coming from Tyson fury on twitter. Its crazy how far Price has fallen so quickly that he has no chance of the Tyson Fury fight now and the way he fought last night makes you wonder if Hughie could take him
The only pedestal Price had was the media putting him there. Before TT, he beat nobody. A few people bought into the media hype and never looked at his skills as a boxer. As a boxer. he's clearly lacking. Did his fan boies expect him to knock out everybody inside round two? Hahah What's the plan after that fails? Gas out and get knocked the **** out in your hometown?
While I'm loath to hype the Furys, if you've got genuine world class potential, Price should be the sort of step up you make after five to ten fights. It would make perfect sense for late 2013 - early '14. If Hughie reaches 15-0 and hasn't touched anyone who can punch - however limited they are -it's utterly certain that he's packing a lot of glass in that chin.
Current Hughie Fury out-boxes current Price. Price has power. That's about it. Could he hurt a young upstart like Hughie? Not with Hughie's amateur record he's not. Hit and not be hit. How is Price going to beat that?
Look unlike Tyson, I think Hughie Fury might, just might that is, have potential. However it is far too early to judge based on 5 pro performances against the usual suspects at that kinda level. Whatever else Price is, he's a national level competitor, and the kinda guy you would be absolutely stupid to pit a novice pro like Hughie against.
Good step up fight for Fury with a recognizable name. Also a good fight for Price since he will be starting over again at the domestic level.
5-10?! Just like T. Thompson should be the level you step up after 15 fights? Fury should have at least 15 before meeting Price, if he can cut it at the level Price was operating before - Skelton, Audley, Big John, ***ton, then we can start talking about it... he needs to not step up too early and make the mistake Price did. One test at a time, gain experience, confidence and knowledge.
Hughie has loads of potential.. but this wouldn't be a very bright move.. The kid is only 18. he needs at least a year of two of crushing cans and maybe the odd decent journeymen before he make a significant step up in competition. Maybe in a year or so we'll see him in with somebody like McDermott or another decent British level fighter.. he shouldn't be rushed.
Why do u guys listen to everything Tyson Fury says??? He is unstable upstairs. Why waste time talking about a fight that is not going to happen??
Your masterpiece thread from last year, on how Price is so great and how he will inevitably beat Wlad is still hanging out on the main page. Until you eat some crow there and re-evaluate your position on Price, in light of his two straight public executions by a semi retired fighter, you can take your boxing opinions and shove them up your trolling ass.
