Round 4

Rasani starts to circle left, waving both gloves around defensively. White leans forward and jabs at the body. Big right hands and jabs coming forward by White. Lots of good jabs to the body, and some right hands curled in at the headby White. Rasani starts to try some left-right uppercut combos while jumping laterally past White. Rasani is just shoved back against the ropes by the sheer physical strength of White and pushed over them again until a break is called. Rasani is ducking, flopping, and undulating all over as White keeps raining down with chopping rights. Rasani keeps trying to slip punches at mid range but can't get away from the left hook as White keeps working it.

Alvin Finch is the referee, and he raises White's hand as victor.


Actually, this is weird. SKY says that Finch is a referee in training and that his superior Steve Gray actually did the scoring at ringside. Kind of like a resident MD situation.

 

BTW, Hastings Rasani is the guy who held Albert Sosnowski to a surprise draw last year.

 

White is trained by Chris Okoh, a former Commonwealth cruiserweight champion and a disciple of Adam Booth.

 

Danny Price vs. Tayar Mehmed, 4 rounds @ cruiserweight.

 

Danny Price is not related to David Price, but they have sparred together.

 

Round 1

Price is jabbing well, keeping his shoulders squared and guard tight. Mehmed is plodding forward with a high peekaboo stance and lobbing some weak hooks to the body. Price keeps snapping his nice straight jab through the gloves and slicing Mehmed about the face. Price drifts back to the ropes, and leans back against them to lure Mehmed in and drill him with more straight crisp jabs. Nice 1-2 and then the left dropped to dig at the body by Price. Big left rip to the body while leaned back against the ropes by Price, and Mehmed partially checks it with a quick move of his elbow.

10-9 Price

 

Round 2

Good jabs and rights from outside by Price. Everything straight and sharp. Tight defense. Mehmed is winging high shots, windmilling very slowly. Price jabs in doubles and lines up a right hand to the face, stepping around with some tidy footwork to get new angles. Mehmed ducks under a right hand and floats up against Price's stomach like a balloon, and they tie up. Break. GOOD 1-2 by Price. Another. Landing hard. Mehmed flops in and holds. Another right by Price, ducked as Mehmed presses in against his waist. Mehmed tries to avoid jabs with blocks and head movement but Price is getting plenty through. A few slapping left hooks to the body by Mehmed and a limp right hand up top, but Price drives him back with the 1-2 and single jab. BIG RIGHT UPPERCUT KNOCKDOWN JUST AS THE BELL IS RINGING!! NOT AFTER THE BELL, JUST DURING!!

Round 3

Mehmed gets jabbed in the face but is bravely waving his own jab back at Price and not backing down. Price throws a right hand into the guard, sticking it there and then dropping a vicious left hook to the body. Good work with the right hand down the middle and left hook to the body by Price. Jab/uppercut combo by Price, blocked. Mehmed tries to swat at the body briefly before resuming peekaboo. The referee warns Price for pushing off. Nice jabs timed by Price as Mehmed tries to move his head behind his hands like a windshield wiper. Left hook around the gloves by Price, throwing off the back foot. Good footwork by Price, always at the right range and position to throw and land straight punches and always throwing them in combination. Wild slaps and uppercuts by Mehmed trying to back Price up to the ropes and smother him. Everything hits Price on the back or misses altogether. High soft jabs by Mehmed, blocked. Price loads up an uppercut and just misses. Good left hook to the body by Price, and right hand that just grazes as Mehmed pulls back.

30-26 Price

 

Round 4

A few high-flicked jabs and slappy open-fisted hooks at the body by Mehmed. Price is just blocking and leaning forward to press his forearms against Mehmed and then brace off. Price backs out and pumps his straight jab. Mehmed comes forward with his left stretched out ahead to clear a path. Price is landing the jab very well while backing up. Big wild exchange and Price is caught by a wild overhand right but takes it well. Time out. The referee adjusts the Bulgarian's trunks, having to reach down into his sweaty crotch and yank up his cup. Eww. Price is really snapping that jab, Mehmed's head reverberating when it lands and causing him to look disparaged even as he tries to squeeze his gloves together to keep them out. Good uppercut leaning in by Price. Clinch. Straight right by Price.
