Price taking on Tony Thompson fairly early on then going back to go with him again after being KO'd gets some respect from me.

He could have taken his zero well into the 20s before going after anyone close to Thompson's level.

How did he look vs Pala?

To stiff... A big punch and little else. Guy can't cope with a big shot. He will always be one punch away from a KO.

TT caused Price some mental problems. Price just don't think he can do it anymore. Wlad had the same problem. People wrote Wlad off until Steward showed him how to clinch and hold. There is no Steward to save Price. Price could have been a good fighter but he was not managed well. Yeah his chin is not great but Wlad's is just as bad.

    No need to rush

    17-2 Price = #28 (now)
    18-2 Price = #16 (After beating Mitchell)
    19-2 Price = #7 (After beating Hammer)

So within 2 winnable fights, price enters the top 10 :deal

Price has a OK chin. He took Bermane Stiverne's best shots and didn't go down. Anyone that has been in the ring knows headgear does not help to much. For me the headgear made the punches rattle my head more. Even with headgear your head still feels the impact of the punch.

That'd be too much too soon IMO. They will feed him some more journeymen in order to rebuild his confidence, work on his stamina issues maybe.

Maybe in a year he could take on a fringe contender such as Charr or Cunningham. That type of calibre.
