I'd like to have some info on commonwealth superheavy champ Price.
Noone seems to cover his Chicago fights.

Tall, good puncher, bit chinny. Has improved technically in the past year or so and is more composed now.
Dangerous for any opponent due to his reach and power, but nothing special and also vunerable to an aggressive opponent who can bang.

Tall, rangey, good solid boxing, hands up, jab, right hand, good array of shots, chin is iffy but heart. Commonwealth final I believe he showed AMAZING heart. Rare in the ams.

No I believe the guy was Indian. It was simply an AMAZING fight. David Price isn't AMAZING but I root for him, especially in a contest where nationality matters. Anyway, this guy had the speed, quickness and agility advantage. I believe he was about 6'2/3. Smaller with the typical general advantages of a smaller man. This guy was tagging and stunning him. You know how amateur can be fast paced. In the pros you can slow the guy down, work his body etc In this bout he was getting tagged and hurt ALOT. I'm sure he was put down 1-3 times. He was digging DEEP and also hurting the Indian guy. It was a little like Earl-Katsidis and Torres-Cotto. Torres and Earl are losing but competative. Eventually in the 4th Price turned the tables and stopped the guy dramatically. I can't remember exactly how but I remember the feeling. I was slightly in awe. Not sure I've ever seen an amateur fight like it. I'm not sure I'll ever see one like it again. It was years ago but it was the final of a tournie.

I'm going to see if I can find some more info on it.

Yes that makes more sense, it was the indian guy he showed good heart against, was really good fight, but the semi final. But in the final it was Kevin Evans he beat after building up a 20 point lead. He looked good and seems to be improving all the time.

If anyone's interested Saunders, Murray and Gavin won their quarter finals to guarantee themselves bronze medals.

Both Saunders and Gavin will be facing Russians (2 of 8 Russians to make the semis) while Murray will be facing a Mongolian fighter. All semi finals take place today.

It seems Price's opponent got a walkover so I can only assume David was injured in his previous fight.
