Firstly, hello folks! New to the forum so wanted a quick intro.

I'm 27 and have been a huge boxing fan since the age of 15.

    Anyway moving onto my thread.

David Price a 6 feet 8 inch heavyweight from Liverpool whom I am sure you are all familiar with.

After recent events in the HW division I am sure we are all looking forward to what the future holds. David is very technically good (watched him personally at a gym on Longmoor Lane, Fazakerly) and I believe is one of the best up and coming HW within the domestic division. He wiped the floor with Fury in the amateurs and I believe Chisora wouldn't be able to get inside enough with him.

I'd like to see him fight for the european within the next 2/3 fights then within 3 years should he come through unscathed take on Wlad or Vitali should they still be about.

    Thoughts?

His chin still needs testing from what I gather so I'dd like to see him in against a real test soon. Dallas was shown up in the last one but Big John should hopefully be able to land a few so maybe we'll learn a bit more then.

There are still some decent heavyweights out there aside from the K's that could be good. Arreola, Adamek etc

    Welcome to East Side :good

Pricey is a good talent. Big, strong and looks like he has good power. The logical choice is for him to fight the Fury - Chisora winner, but i doubt it'll happen tbh. He needs to step up his level of opposition tho. Would love to see him against Arreola, but he might be a bit much this soon.

welcome to ESB. Price looks good but as he has said himself he needs more testing. There will always be questions about his chin. He beats anyone but Haye in the UK with ease in my opinion.

I think Chisora roughs him up nicely on the inside. If his chin is suspect, Chisora will expose it. Would be a good fight, far better than Fury - Price

    Thanks for the reception chaps!

From what I read it seemed Pricey was the only person that stood upto Haye' vigorous sparring sessions that apparently seen them sending Helenius home.

The facts I like about him are he is big, 6 feet 8 inches but also he is very consistent with his weight. In his 11 pro fights he has been 244-248 which is some effort.

Any info on who he is due to fight next? KingMonkey said Big John, do you mean Mcdermott?

Yup, big bad John is McDermott. It'll be a good test for him.

Agreed it'll be a good test, not sure if you recall but Fury Vs. McDermott v.1 was one of the biggest daylight robberies i've seen in this sport.

  10. McDermott is a big fat *******, much like Tyson fury. The shape they come in to the ring with is an insult.

Pricey would bounce fat John out of the ring inside 3.

Price is 2-3 fights away from showing arreola who the ****ing boss is!!

I'd be surprised if Price gets John out that early. Yes he's a big fat *******, but he isn't a half bad boxer. He sparked Larry O, was very unlucky against Williams, and was blatantly robbed against Fury first time round. It's a good stern domestic test for Pricey IMO, one which he'll probably come thru.

Price is the boxing equivalent to a submarine that's never been more than 200ft below the surface - you never know how it'll hold till they take the plunge and journey to darker depths.

The smart move would be to face the Fury / Chisora winner, possibly with a Big John fight thrown in, then move quickly to European. Based on what I've seen so far he wouldn't have any problem with any of these.

Saw him live once as part of the Jamie Moore / Ryan Rhodes undercard. TV cannot put across just how ****ing massive the guy is. He's taller than either Klit, which is something.

  13. Bug John ain't a bad boxer I'll agree, and he's had some good results no doubt. But if he's going places he needs to make a statement against someone like John. Pit it this way, if he catches him like he did the American dude he fought, it's lights our. John is the British gate keeper for pricey and price has got the key IMO
