    From Sport.ru...

Franny Smith, trainer of David Price (12-0, 10KOs), lashed out at Tyson Fury (18-0, 13KOs), who recently took a few verbal swipes at Price. Smith is not impressed with Fury at all. Price was at one time ordered to face Fury for the British heavyweight title, but Fury vacated the crown. This Saturday, Price faces Sam Sexton (15-2, 6KOs) for the vacant British title at the Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool. Smith considers Sexton to be a much tougher test than Fury.

“He’ll probably get a job at Christmas in one of the pantomimes because that is where he’s best suited. A boxing ring is not really where it’s happening for him. Fury takes it that seriously he spars his brothers and then brags about it. I think he only had Dillian Whyte there (in his last training camp) who was actually a boxer. He’s a bizarre individual," Smith told the Liverpool Echo.

“But let’s get real, it’s a joke. We were planning to have a real laugh with him in the build up to the fight because that’s what kind of character he is. The reason we wanted the fight was because it would be like walking into the bank and the bank manager handing you a cheque. We would have demolished him within two rounds. Sam Sexton is a more difficult fight than Tyson Fury. Sam Sexton is better than Tyson Fury.”

    Thoughts? :think

Had an odd dream a few days ago in which Fury battered price about the ring before knocking him the **** out. Pretty sure Fury would sort out Sexton aswell ffs.

I certainly think Fury would whup Sexton... but against Price i'm not so sure how he performs. :think

Price has a very suspect chin, but Fury isn't exactly Iron in terms of mandibular fortitude either.

Plus it's pretty clear which one packs the bigger wallop.

I just think Fury is the tougher of the two, might not crack as hard ( Although when he does plant his feet and throw he punches ****ing hard ).
I also find Fury the more entertaining of the two,Price comes across as some kind of simpleton. He actually is kinda like a cyborg.

Fancy Price big time if he and Fury were to meet, although think he is better than Sexton

You think he is better than Sexton.. Fury is better than Sexton fact..:yep
Its ok for Price's trainer to big it up but Furys record is much more impressive than Price.. Lets be honest if Fury shipped Price on on the chin i think it would shatter, i really think Price is going down when he gets tagged..

I think Price could knock anyone on his arse and i will give credit where it is due, Fury has been knocked on his arse pretty much gets up and KO's the other man. Its good taking a few shots early in your career build abit of resistance. Just have a feeling with Price, put money on it that chin is pure china..

he's put alot of weight on since his amateur days to help with his punch resistance. I think Price will go further than Fury, just a shame he vacated his belts to avoid him

Price may well have the power to put Fury away but based on what we have his power is currently so overrated it's become mythical.

    Price in general actually.

Indeed, tis quite funny though. Ya have to be careful with these stiff beanpoles, they can make ya look stupid. Alexander Alexeev? Looked a million dollars running over stiffs but when he got punched back/not even punched back but the other guy refused to fall over....

Certainly made me look stupid, so I refuse to get on board this Price bandwagon until he takes a hefty hit.

I would have loved to have seen it over the last six months, key variables at play. Price has the heavy hands but he's not been worked much, Fury does come to scrap. Price does have an awkward stance at times, Fury's balance e.t.c. are well documented. I like them both as fighters, as it is I still think Price has Fury seeing stars before 4 is out, but i'd not bet my van on it. I'd like to have seen Price do 12 with Del (even the 34stone version Fury met).
