http://www.boxingforum24.com/member.php?u=6552 That's him.. ..and yes.. not a lot.. but he does. He'll read this. Ding has that one intangible you can't train.. he punches like a mule. He's also a tough mother****er... so it's not surprising he beat Rodriguez who was a guy who'd never been in the ring with someone as good as Wilson.. who is far from Prime. I still want to know why he let himself get TKO'd by a bum like Jason Gavern.
I'm ecstatic for Ding.....there's not a more deserving guy in all of boxing. But for the sake of the HW division, Im a little distraught to be perfectly honest. Im not happy Monsour was struggling so much with Price either. Price threw all of about 5 R hands and drilled Monsour with every one of em. If Price woulda been driving his L jab and following it with a R hand, he woulda really sank Main Events card tonight, as KD wouldnt have an acceptable opponent for USS in the spring. I can't explain the Rodriguez fight since Ive only read one liners from ppl posting ringside doing HLs of the rds. It seemed like Ding hung in there like he usually does and Rodriguez blew his load and Ding's powerful shots finally took their toll. Watching Monsour vs Price, I had a sinking feeling that Monsour was gonna blow his own load and end up KOd too. To his credit though, he was able to land the bigger shots on the easy target Price. Ding is one tough SOG......not gonna be a walkthrough for any HW, and probably a horrible matchup in hindsight for a guy coming back from a 2 yr layoff, especially one who relies on timing his power shots. David was headhunting, and Ding was reading the shoulders and slipping ever so slightly. It was probably a great fihgt. I hope there's a youtube of it. Main Events is usually good about putting UC fights on youtube.:think
Yeah Ding-a-ling man! :happy stoked to see you back in action! You've Given us some exciting nights over the years fella. Congrats and keep up the good work.
